It seems that Jessica Simpson was hitting the sauce before she went to British singer Adele’s show in Los Angeles on Monday evening. Twitter rumors claimed that Simpson was ‘drunkenly swaying’ during the show.
Simpson, who was at the concert with her fiance, Eric Johnson, responded to the reports of her drunkenness by tweeting: “There are rumors that I was ‘drunk swaying’ at the Adele concert last night. That wasn’t drunk swaying, that was professional dancing!”
Evidence suggests that Simpson probably was drunk since her best friend Cacee Cobb’s boyfriend, Donald Faison, admitted he had a hangover the following day, tweeting, “Tuesday, Even with a hangover like hammer ‘can’t touch this’… But you’re still the worst day of the week. Just saying.”
The concert was well reviewed by other stars including chef Gordon Ramsey who described the British songstress as “amazing” and “very witty.” Maybe he’ll offer her a spot on ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ as the show could sorely use some wit.
Glee actress Dianna Agron was there and she tweeted, “Saw Ms. Adele at the Greek theatre last night, lucky to say it was for the second time. My love just grows fonder and fonder.”
