Kings Of Leon Bandmates Urge Caleb Followill To Enter Rehab For Alcoholism

The story behind the Kings of Leon U.S. tour cancellation just continues to thicken, in the juiciest sense of the word.

As is true with most Celeb stories, you first get the initial statement (often time a straight up lie that is created to protect an image), then over the succeeding days we start hearing a borderline truth (still being sugarcoated with a whole bunch of PR crap), and then  we eventually receive the straight-up freakin’ truth (which the common person has — most likely — known to be true all along).

After being told that frontman Caleb Followill was just “thirsty and overheated” (initial statement), we then learned — through a tweet — that “there are some internal sicknesses within the band” (borderline truth) . . . and now, a day later, we get the straight-up freakin’ truth: Caleb Followill is a hardcore alcoholic, which has put a great deal of stress on the musical group.

“They are trying to get him into rehab. It’s a dark demon he has been fighting for a while,” says a source close to the band. “They are trying to get Caleb to go to rehab. It is mostly for alcohol. That’s why they ended up cancelling the whole tour… he drinks like a fish. They all drink.”

And there you have it, the real truth behind why the Kings of Leon cancelled there U.S. tour. Let’s hope they all get the help they need; it’d be a shame to see a talented band like this breakup over too much booze on the tour bus!

Dr. Drew, help them, please!
