It seems as if Adele has something else new to sing about, the birth of her son this past Friday night! This is the first child for 24 year old Adele Laurie Blue Adkins and the second for her 38 year baby-daddy Simon Konecki.
Her spokesman said of Friday night’s reported birth: ‘We are not releasing a statement at this time. No comment.‘ That is probably why we don’t know that Adele actually had a baby or the sex or her child. Riiiiight.
Either way, congrats are in order for Adele. Not only has she managed to stay out of the spotlight and not get pap’d on a daily basis of her bump but she hardly ever spoke about it. In a world where all celebrities put their bumps and babies on display, it’s refreshing to see a woman hiding away from the spotlight and putting her child first.
Another thing Adele should be proud of is the fact that she may be the only celebrity not jumping in and getting a tummy tuck right after the baby. Adele has a body image that should be praised by young girls, not frowned upon. We know not every girl in this world is a size 0 and Adele embraces her size. I don’t expect her to lose the baby weight and then some right after, if she did, I might lose some respect for her. Makes me feel better about myself knowing that I’m not a stick figure. Everybody needs a positive role model and I’m sorry but someone like Cameron Diaz is not for everyone. So congrats again to Adele, her boyfriend and her little baby boy!
