American Idol Season 11 Contestant Heejun Han Is "Digging His Own Grave"

I really wonder if Heejun Han realizes how many people that have amazing voices, wait in line for days, only to be told that American Idol is done with auditions for their city? The guy should be eternally grateful to be on the show, but instead he is rude and disrespectful. It’s only a matter of time before America will be saying “sayonara” to the native New Yorker.

Last week, Heejun sang “Right Here Waiting For You” and the judges weren’t impressed. Randy said, “I didn’t really enjoy this at all, it was pitchy in five or six spots”. Jennifer said, “you fought through your struggles and towards the end it was beautiful”. Steven said, ” I didn’t like the song, but you still have special voice”. Those are not really the worst comments I have heard, compared to what former judge Simon Cowell could have said, these were tame.

Heejun Han made a complete ass of himself this week when he took that negative criticism from last week and went into his mentoring session with Diddy and Jimmy Lovine complaining about it. The mentors both basically told him to deal with the criticism by using it as fuel and to not take it personally. Poor Diddy was so confused by all of HeeJun’s joking and laughing during the mentoring session that he later said, “I’m not even sure he’s Asian, he could be black.” Wow, Heejun has an opportunity to be mentored by a hip hop legend and he doesn’t take it seriously? The guy is just digging his own grave! Did you see this episode, if you missed any of it you can read the full recap HERE.

Later, Heejun went on stage and clowned his way through “My Life” by Billy Joel. He first stopped at the piano and said, “that’s much too slow for me, I want to dance,” and rips off his outfit to reveal a t-shirt over an orange shirt. He throws attitude into the song and prances all around the stage. He completely let go vocally, he obviously didn’t give a crap, he just wanted to get his point across that he was going to do whatever he wanted to on stage, no matter what the judges, America or his mentors thought of him.

Steven Tyler was really upset about Heejun’s performance, he said “Are you happy that you took the piss out of that song?”, “You showed ‘em. You told ‘em,” continued Steven, he sounded completely annoyed. He finished with, “the music business will kick your ass,” Wow, those are harsh words for a judge who really doesn’t say anything bad to anyone.

Heejun Han’s “fifteen minutes” are over. He has performed bad week after week and there are much better singers and performers in the competition that are more deserving to remain on the show. The song, the face, the attire; the whole package is just complete chaos!
