Angelina Jolie Does Good While Jennifer Aniston Locks Down Her Man

Angelina Jolie is my hero. She is strong, confidant, beautiful, an incredibly talented actress, has a beautiful family that shies away from fame, and now she is working with the United Nations.

We spend a lot of time comparing her to Jenifer Aniston, and how could we not? They have both been attached to hunk Brad Pitt, are both beautiful actresses, and we watch a lot of their films. But the similarities end there. Last I checked, the most unselfish thing Jennifer Aniston did was sign a contract to be spokeswoman for Smart Water. So, by posing nude, she supports people staying hydrated with expensive bottled water.

Meanwhile, at a refugee camp in Jordan, Angelina ties her hair back in a simple pony tail, tugs on a black long sleeved t-shirt, and listens to the stories of refugees who have fled the civil war of Syria. We know Angelina is a lover of humans – okay maybe not Jennifer Aniston, but is Jen actually human?  Has anyone checked?

Angelina has adopted children from countries whose orphanages have, in some cases, worse conditions than you can imagine.  All that to say, Angelina doesn’t mind getting dirt in her cuticles and sweat on her brow if it means someone else will sleep better.

My heart breaks for the people who have fled Syria. They left with nothing, seeking shelter from a conflict that has killed more than 23,000 people in a year and a half. Angelina understands the horror of this, but she is just one person. Her visit might draw more attention to the situation, but it won’t bring any real solutions. Washington Post printed a photo of her at the camp, her eyes brimming with tears as she surveys the camp. And remember, these are the lucky people. These are the people who successfully escaped.

Angelina explained her time there: “what is very heartbreaking is when Syrian people ask you why you think no one is able to find a solution for them.” We all know celebs and their charity causes. It’s almost a joke, a non-issue now. But the conflict in Syria isn’t room for a new charity. I applaud Angelina’s selfless acts and believe that she is one of the few Hollywood stars who actually tries to use her fame to really help make the world better. She deserves nothing but happiness with Brad and her family!
