Big Brother 14 Week 4 Episode 9 'Power Of Veto' Recap 8/1/12

Tonight is another new episode of Big Brother 14 on CBS. Tonight we will see if Joe or Ashley wins the POV as Shane put the two up for eviction in the last episode. If you missed the last episode, you can read our full and detailed recap here.

On the last episode, Shane was the new HOH and he put up Joe and Ashley for eviction, although he really wanted to see Wil go home.

During the Coaches Competition, Britney was the first coach out and got to pick two players to put on slop; she choose Ian and Joe. Boogie was the next out and won three money prizes, $6,000 that he keeps for himself, $3,000 that he gives to Ian and $1000 that he gives to Jen. Dan was the last out and got a sushi and cocktail party, he choose five people to join him; the three coaches, Shane and Danielle. Janelle won the competition, she choose to save Wil.

Tonight, there will be a bold move after the POV is won and if you don’t want to know what it is, don’t read any further.

Shane wins POV again, can you believe it? He is going to have one pretty big target on his bag when he is no longer the HOH. Now here is the bold move, Shane uses the POV to take Ashley off the block and guess who he puts up instead, Frank!

Paranoia lets loose in the house and both Frank and Boogie scramble for votes, otherwise Frank is going home. You won’t want to miss tonight’s episode when all the drama plays out.

Here Is Tonight’s Recap:

Tonight Joe decides that he is going to play Shane and pretend that he wants to team up with him.  Joe is determined to win the veto and beat cocky Shane at his own game. The POV teams are selected and the cast is in the backyard, which now looks like a giant circus tent.  Everyone is dressed like a clown and must roll two balls on ramps.  The last clown with their balls on the ramp wins Power of Veto. Frank is praying neither Joe or Will win.  Meanwhile Shane is determined to win to maintain control over the house. Ashley and Shane are neck in neck until finally one of Ashley’s balls hit the ground.

Needless to say, Joe is flipping. He couldn’t ensure his own safety and now is at the mercy of Shane.

Britney and Shane are talking when Janelle comes to talk strategy. Britney and Shane are not thrilled that she is interrupting snack time.  Of course it’s not just Janelle that pays them a visit, but her whole team is present minus Joe who is probably throwing things in a far corner of the house.  Janelle wants everyone to trust her so much that she hands Britney and Shane her wedding band to hold for three weeks.  They refuse to take it but tell her just that gesture has built trust.

Janelle later takes Joe aside and tells him to go to Shane and basically kiss his ass and grovel. Say whatever it takes to stay.  He goes to talk and Shane tells him that his mind is still not made up and that nothing is 100%.  Joe likens himself to dangling off a cliff and Shane can save him, he’s his lifeline.

Shane is seriously contemplating putting Frank up because he’s not someone that he wants to have to go up against later.  Joe is hopeful that Frank will be put up because then, he may get to stick around for awhile.

Shane gives both a chance to save themselves. Ashley tells Shane that she respects him and will have his back. Joe says that all the great men, like the president of the United States, use the power of veto. He challenges Shane to be a great man. Shane uses to POV to save Ashley and puts Frank up on the block.  Frank says that he saw it coming.  Shane is hoping to convince Frank that he’s not the target, even though he actually is!

Come back and see us for the next episode!
