Tonight ABC takes an old show Wife Swap and reboots it with Celebrity Wife Swap. Reality TV reaches a whole new low in my opinion. Just like Dancing with the Stars, this new show will be pushing a whole new set of D-Listers (has-beens and reality television stars wanting to extend their 15 minutes of fame) to primetime for our viewing pleasure! In tonight’s episode, Wife Swap will have two celebrity wives switch places by moving into the other’s home and living the other’s life. The opening episode features a child-star actress Tracey Gold from the 1980s sitcom Growing Pains swapping with Carnie Wilson, formerly of the ’90s pop group Wilson Phillips. This is kinda creepy if you asked me, Tracey is a former anorexic while Carnie has struggled with her weight her whole life and even had gastric bypass surgery.
Nevertheless, it should be interesting Tracey is a self-described control freak and has a very organized home while Carnie Wilson is a believer that love is more important than rules.
