Let’s give a round of applause for clapping butt-cheeks! It’s been reported that Magic Mike star and bonafide stripper, Channing Tatum, will grace this year’s cover of People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive issue. Well, if anyone has seen Tatum’s hard as a rock butt moving to hard-beat music with gyrating hips from the Magic Mike movie, than you know this title is well deserved.
Just a few other notables who have garnered the title and covered the mag? Ryan Reynolds, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Hugh Jackman and Denzel Washington …whew! (fanning myself…) Is it getting hot in here?
Well, now, hold on a minute ladies, don’t get your panties in a wad, People magazine hasn’t exactly confirmed the news yet and has released the following statement:
“We never comment on who the Sexist Man Alive is until the issue is revealed,” the rep states.
Think they might be a little more cautious this year after last year’s debacle with Bradley Cooper and Ryan Gosling? When the magazine decided to put Cooper on its cover instead of “it actor” of the time, Ryan Gosling, there were actual protests by hot and bothered ladies (and a few gentlemen who probably have seen The Notebook a few too many times) outside of People Magazine’s headquarters in Manhattan. Now, don’t get me wrong, Cooper’s no slouch- he’s pretty cute and speaks fluent French, but come on! Ryan Gosling was robbed! Who was hotter than Ryan Gosling last year? The sexy actor from Crazy, Stupid, Love and the Notebook? Hands down, Gosling should have been the winner.
Now, the Tatum choice, I can definitely get behind. No pun intended.
