Christina Applegate Slams Jessica Simpson For Putting Weight Loss Ahead Of Her Baby

Celebrities just love their bodies, don’t they? They adore the American Psycho staring back in the mirror, the smooth lines of their sculpted curves and the sound their abdomen makes when it speaks to them at night (Hi Beyonce! How are you baby?). These bodies also ask the tougher questions such as, “Hi Beyonce! How is your baby? Is it still as fat as you are?” The celebrities break down emotionally, weep on their beds and scream, “Why me? Why am I a mother? Am I going to start wearing Crocs now? Am I? Oh my God!” They stop giving attention to their babies and head out to the gym to exercise their pinch-of-fat bodies for their next music video/film/television show. Celebrity babies might be born into fame and wealth, but they definitely pay an extremely steep price for their heritage.

Christina Applegate is unlike these mothers who sell their babies for salads and sparkling water. She appeared on The Talk last Tuesday and admitted that she was still shedding her pregnancy weight since she welcomed her daughter Sadie Grace in January of 2011. She said, “I just transitioned out of maternity jeans. I’m working on two years and I haven’t even lost all my weight. And those girls that do, they’re spending less time with their kids. I just wanted to hang out with my daughter for 24 hours a day.” Was Christina referring to Jessica Simpson? We all know Jessica has been so focused on losing her pregnancy weight that her child, Maxwell Drew, became collateral damage. She still hasn’t lost the weight, even though she’s been the spokesperson for Weight Watchers and fibbed her face off about the weight loss.

Applegate continued during the interview and said, “I will not be Tweeting photos of me in a bikini, let alone wear a bikini I think ever again in my life.” Co-host Sara Gilbert responded to this with, “For some people, it does just come off fast.” Applegate responded, “No, I know. I know girls that just genetically it just drops off. I didn’t mean to offend skinny people.

Don’t worry Christina, the only people you might have offended were those celebrity bitches who lost all their pregnancy weight on their ride home from the hospital – i.e. Jessica Simpson. Do you think celebrities are destroying the beauty of motherhood? Should they rather focus on their children instead of their weight? Shoot off in the comments below.
