RECAP: The gloves are off this week as the competition pulls out all the stops to compete and get on the top of the leader board. Kelly Clarkson and Robin Thicke open the show bring down the house with a “State of Shock”.

Nobody put there hopefuls more last week than Kelly, she made them perform in front of 6000 people last week at one of her concerts. As well, the two landed in the bottom two, which was very suprising.

Tonight is a special night because the celebrities and the amateurs will be singing some of the most famous duets in history.

John Legend and Bridget Carrington perform, “I Knew You Were Waiting” by George Michaels and Aretha Franklin.

Superstar Comments: Jennifer loved it, she thought was fantastic and Bridget raised the bar. Kelly thought she was fantastic, tasteful and classic. Robin loved the incredible energy, he was amazed on how she finished the song.

It’s kind of silly at this point to look at the Duets Chart, because Bridget is the first hopeful but Quddus does it anyway, she is of course number 1.

Kelly Clarkson and Jordan Meredith perform, “Misery” by Pink and Steven Tyler.

Superstar Comments: Jennifer thought she raised her performance. Robin thought it was the perfect song for her voice, great choice. John loves her tone on top, his only concern is precision, there was a little pitchiness.

Jordan’s position on the Duets Chart is number 2.

Jennifer Nettle and John Glosson perform, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye.

Superstar Comments: Kelly thought the performance was a little cheesy but she loved his voice. Robin thought it was the wrong song, your voice is so beautiful and can do better. John thinks he is one of the best singers in the competition, I think the energy of the song was taken a little Broadway, but you are awesome.

John’s position on the Duet Chart is number 2, he bumps Jordan to number 3.

Robin Thicke and Olivia Chisholm perform, “Where’s The Love” by Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack.

Superstar Comments: John loved her presence, she was sexy and sultry, it was lovely. Jennifer thought it was a great performance, but it was a little pitchy. Kelly thought her voice has a cool texture but didn’t love this song for her.

Olvia’s position on the Duet Chart is number 4.

DUET ALERT: Quddus announces that John Legends’ hopeful, Johnny Gray is no longer in the competition, due to unforeseen circumstances and being replaced by Meleana Brown.

John Legend and Meleana Brown perform, “Endless Love” by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie.

Superstar Comments: Robin loved it, he compares it to a sandwich and welcomes her to the show. Kelly loved it and also welcomes her to the show, just try not to be too technically perfect because heart matters more. Jennifer can’t believe the whirlwind Meleana must be on now, there is something super classy about you and uniqueness.

Meleana jumps to the number 1 position on the Duets Chart, pushing everyone down.

Kelly Clarkson and Jason Farol perform, “Whenever You Call” by Mariah Carey and Brian McKnight.

Superstar Comments: John thought it was good, but you need to stop looking at Kelly for approval. Robin thought it was better than last week, but when you step away from Kelly you explode. Jennifer can see growth from last week, but when he it’s those big noted he is great.

Jason is number 5, pushing Olivia to number 6.

Jennifer Nettles and J Rome perform, “You’re The One That I Want” by John Travolta and Olvia Newton John.

Superstar Comments: Kelly thought he had swag like Bruno Mars, but it wasn’t as challenging but yet still cool. John thinks he looks like a professional but the song choice didn’t show off his voice, performance was incredible. Robin gives him a 10 for presence and pelvis thrusting, he has nothing to worry about.

J Rome pushes to number 2 on the Duet Chart.

Robin Thicke and Alexis Foster perform , “Your All I Need To Get By” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell.

Superstar Comments: Jennifer thought she added to the smooth element, she loved it. John thinks she has to put the mic to her mouth because he didn’t hear some of it. Kelly found the presentation disconnected, not like a duet.

Alexis is number 6 on the Duet Chart.

The final standings, after their performances tonight are 1. Meleana Brown 2. J Rome 3. Bridgett Carrington 4. John Glosson 5. Jordan Meredith 6. Alexis Foster 7. Jason Farol 8. Olivia Chisholm
