A whole new episode of Fashion Star airs tonight on NBC and the competition is really heating up s they get closer and closer to crowing a winner.  The Fashion Star designs are selling out across America.  On last week’s episode Lisa, Ronnie and Edmond were called to the stage.  The mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos decided to save Ronnie.  Lisa Vian Hunter and her Car Coat was eliminated.  If you missed the episode you can read our full recap here!

We are now down to our top 10 designers and on this week’s episode called “Living Department Store Window” the designers use live models to feature their collections in a blank window space.  There is a twist added to the show this week – the designers will have to work together.  How do you think they will be able to handle this?  Hit the comments and let us know what you think!

Designer Sarah Parrott who has sold a piece every week said the designers get much more critiquing than we see on TVThere is only so much they can air during the show.   She said: “What you don’t see is that we do get critiques from all three buyers and all three mentors … They’re only just showing one, but we get feedback from all three on every single showcase.”

How are you enjoying the show so far?  The show should get more interesting with the designers having to work together tonight.  Don’t miss the episode!

RECAP: This weeks goal is to pull buyers in from the eye catching windows, into the store. True to the fashion business, designers are sharing a window. Nikki Poulos and Barbara Bates are first up, Nikki is doing a 1930 style dress and Barbara is doing more of a street style. Barbara is not having an easy time of it because Nikki is notoriously hard to work with. Nicole visits Barbara and she notices right away that the women are polar opposites. Barbara has an idea of a photo shoot, Nicole loves it but Nikki doesn’t.

Ronnie Escalante and Luciana Scarabello are working together.

Ross Bennette, Orly Shani and Sarah Parrot, their theme is Gossip Girl. Ross is working on a sexy dress with a little paisley. Sarah is a stay-at-home mom and this is really different for her. The trio are really excited and believe it is going to be a really successful show. Orly is back working on the fabric and she is worried, because she has never worked with lace before. Nicole tells Orly that at this point, just go with what works.

Kara Liricks, Edmond Newton and Nzimiro Oputa are working together. Both men are clashing when they are both doing men’s wear. The theme has changed last minute from travel to nautical.
