I made a mistake! That is exactly what Mary J Blige is claiming regarding her Burger King advertisement for their fried chicken wraps. The ad was pulled down as racist and just plain stupid.
Mary has fallen under a world of hurt as a result of these advertisements, which I might add have been pulled and are not being shown. Poor Mamacita, she actually came out with a statement which said, “I wanted to crawl under the bed. It was a mistake, but I did it because I thought it was something that wouldn’t come out like that. It was sold to us that I would be shot in an iconic way, it hurt my feelings. It crushed me for like two days.”
OK chicas’ I will translate so that we all know what she just said if you do not understand. What she virtually said was that the commercial that was presented to her in a certain way in order for her to do the commercial, was actually not shot and shown as what she was advised it would be, so she felt very deceived.
Like Mary always does she takes responsibility for her actions because when all is said and done she did do the commercial so she is saying she made a mistake. What she should have done was check the final product and run it by a test group then she would have known if it was racially offense, but I don’t think this was done.
Mary this is not your first time at the rodeo with problems regarding your business affairs and I will not bring up the past. Your team definitely needs a hard check because too many important things are not being taken care of, such as this look into it chica!
