Melissa Gorga Leaving Real Housewives Of New Jersey And Joining Orange County Cast

wives Of New Jersey And Joining Orange County Cast

Will Real Housewife of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga be joining the Orange County cast? Melissa and her husband, Joe Gorga, recently put their sprawling 6-bedroom family home in Montville Township, New Jersey up for sale for a whopping $3.8 million. The house, which sits on 2.24 acres, was originally put on the market in 2009 for $4.1 million but was taken off in 2010. The Daily Mail reports that there are rumors Gorga is flirting with the idea of moving her family to Los Angeles to pursue her singing career.

The couple has been together for seven years and has three children which may be another reason for the big move. Melissa has made no secret over the fact that she thinks sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, is trying to break up her marriage to Teresa’s brother, Joe. This season of Real Housewives has picked up where last year’s left off which means more Melissa and Teresa fighting. In this week’s episode their contention reached a fevered pitch in a parking lot when Melissa finally confronted Teresa about the gold-digging comments she made against her. Teresa told her brother that she heard Melissa would leave him if a richer man came along.

Teresa’s cattiness has been the source of a lot of negative energy with the other housewives as well. But, as an avid viewer, I was willing to look past her questionable actions when I heard she wrote an apology to her castmates last month. The cookbook author penned a letter of apology to Jacqueline Laurita, Kathy Wakile, Caroline Manzo and even Melissa but, in typical Teresa fashion, turns out she was paid to do it. Huffington Post reported that Teresa was paid $6,500 to write the “I’m sorry” letters by In Touch magazine. It’s no surprise Caroline found it less than sincere. Caroline told the Huffington Post, “I have nothing to do with her and that’s my decision.”

Melissa was a tad more diplomatic. “I just recently went to the kids’ birthday party. So I will do anything that has to do with the kids. The adults have some things to work out right now.”

I wonder if Teresa is crying tears of joy or sadness over the moving rumors. I’m thinking they could actually be tears of sadness. Drama is good for Housewife business and business has been good to those ladies. If Melissa leaves, Teresa might just have to rely on her recipes to sell her cookbooks.

Do you think the Housewives will suffer if Melissa leaves or will Andy Cohen just pull another crazy character out of the woodwork to satisfy our New Jersey cravings?
