Even though Chris Brown beat Rihanna’s head in three years ago, Rihanna’s dad still thinks the couple is perfect and more mature now that they are giving love another chance.
Ronald Fenty told Grazia magazine: “Chris has matured a lot. I think everybody has to put the past behind them. And they seem to have done that. Being a couple is all up to her. Every decision is her decision. I just wish her the best. I hope things will work out. Everyone is entitled to make a mistake. Her fans are hoping it will happen. They see them as a perfect couple.”
Oh Ronald, did you really say that? Let’s take a breath and back up a second here. I’m not so sure her fans are so excited about Rihanna getting back into the arms of that hot headed, woman beater. I get that people move on, grow up and learn from their mistakes and maybe Chris has, but if you don’t plan on bashing your girlfriend’s head in any time soon, you’re still a woman beater. It’s a label that quite rightly sticks no matter how much you want to pretend it’s old news.
Is Ronald trying to clear the way for Rihanna to make it even more official with Chris? Are they pulling the old “My dad says it’s OK so you should be OK with it too” act? If that’s the case, I’m not falling it for it. The only thing I’ve deduced out of this information is that Rihanna’s dad sucks at his job. Remember he once told Heat magazine she looked fat. And Rihanna has said he used to beat her mother when she was little and swore she would never date anyone like her father. The two have had a rocky relationship and have only started communicating again recently.
I understand fathers just want their little girls to be happy but they should also ALWAYS have their daughter’s best interests at heart. And I don’t care how rehabilitated Chris might be, he always has Chris Brown’s interests at heart.
