Ashton Kutcher is going to become a space cadet. I’m not talking about a movie…I’m talking about a real life astronaut. He’s actually booked a seat on a commercial flight to the final frontier. But why? Is he an adventurer at heart who wants to explore the great beyond? Or is he so desperate to get away from his clingy ex Demi Moore that he’s willing to leave planet Earth for some peace and quiet? Just a thought!
Either way the star of Two And A Half Men has forked out over $200,000 to fly with Virgin Galactic when the world’s first space airline gets off the ground. Virgin Galactic is the brainchild of British businessman Richard Branson. And Rich is thrilled to have another high profile passenger ‘I gave Ashton a quick call to congratulate and welcome him. He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier (and back!) with us and to experience the magic of space for himself‘ Ashton also made history with his booking – he’s the 500th person to sign up for the trip of a lifetime.
There’s no launch date yet but it shouldn’t be far off. Virgin Galactic are in the ‘final stages of flight tests‘. Branson also pointed out that the actor will be in safe hands when he leaves the world as know it ‘we are guided by safety and so will ensure that everything is just as safe as it can possibly be before we start commercial services – particularly as I will be on the first commercial flight with my kids!’
