Amber, that was one of the best performances of Lately I have ever heard by anyone other than Stevie, and by far the best performance of the night…and possibly the entire history of Idol. Amber you were simply superb. This was no young girl singing in a high school show. You have the musical control and maturity that only comes with age to a lot of singers. That is one hell of a difficult song to sing, and you sang the toughest part of it with ease, grace, emotion and impeccable musicality to use Maria’s word. You brought tears to my eyes and the judges. Good luck. Regardless of Idol, you will go places. For me you won it right there for the whole series!
