Brangelina news for you! The word on the street is that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie secretly got hitched on Christmas Day and are now officially married. Could it be? Could they have pulled a fast one and did us in? Dude, please don’t say this is true – we planned to write scathing posts about Jolie’s leg people!
According to the official report on Hollywood Hiccups, “For such a mega-watt couple, they’ve been able to keep a surprising amount of their personal lives secret from the world – a world that’s always watching and eager for news of the glam duo and their adorable brood.” That is true. Brad and Angie haven’t really been in the public eye as in recent years, and have managed to keep their private lives away from nosy reporters camouflaged like Brian Dennehy. In April of 2012, Brad proposed to Angie, but news outlets only learned of this discovery when Angie was spotted out and about with a $500 000 engagement ring. During this time, an official rep for the couple announced, “Yes, it’s confirmed. It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy.” And the upcoming marriage was the only thing on the lips of entertainment journalists the world over.
There is a strong possibility that the couple married on Xmas, but whether there’s any veracity to it is another question. The world jumps like frightened kids at a Freddy Krueger-lookalike contest whenever news of Brangelina breaks, which, in turn, makes the anticipation of their upcoming nuptials palpable and present. This could just be a rogue rumour on its way to the dustbin of public opinion, but it could also be the truth – and for that, Brangelina, we’ll never forgive you.
