According to a new report from Splash News, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are all set to sign a pre-nup worth $320 million. Although it’s been longer than a year since they’ve gotten engaged, it looks like they’re finally starting to get a move on with preparing for their wedding.
In all honesty, I didn’t think they would go through with a pre-nup, especially with the number of children they have together and how they both view their future. However, I guess even the most tight-knit couple has their worries, and considering both Brad and Angelina’s past, I suppose they realized it’s not a bad idea to get a pre-nup. You know, just in case.
According to the 161 page document, in the eventuality of a split, Brad would keep his $161 million fortune, and Angelina would keep her $144 million assets. According to the report, Angelina has always been hesitant about getting a pre-nup, but Brad supposedly persuaded her that it’s for the best. The report alleges that Brad is just being practical about the future, especially considering that they share six children, property around the globe, and a massive fortune that’s tied to both of their names.
Hopefully, neither of them will have to use it – but it’s definitely interesting that it was Brad pushing for the pre-nup, no? Brad has always called himself a romantic, but in this case, it’s probably for the best that he’s being practical. Both Brad and Angie may seem tighter than ever now, but things change a lot in ten years, and even more in twenty years. Imagine – just fifteen years ago, Brad was with Jennifer Aniston and he didn’t even have kids. See? Practical.
