Dancing With the Stars judge Len Goodman has been pushing himself too hard and people are concerned he is headed towards a collapse. Len serves as judge on both Dancing With the Stars in the US and Strictly Come Dancing in the UK. The two jobs requires that Len who is 69-years-old to jet back and forth between the US and the UK. According to the National Enquirer, “Friends believe Len is on the verge of a breakdown and they are worried about him.”
The twenty-hour a week travel time is leaving Len in a permanent state of jet lag and sources say he’s been considering leaving DWTS. Len’s exhaustion has been so severe for the first time this season on Dancing With The Stars Len has been absent on several occasions and DWTS has had to find guest judges to replace him.
Meanwhile, the powers that be at DWTS have been worried about the shows declining ratings and have been considering replacing the acerbic tongued Len with a younger more hipper judge. They have used Len’s absence as an opportunity to audition judges to see how they fit with DWTS other two judges Carrie-Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli and how viewers like them. This season Julianna Hough, Cher and Maksim Chmerkovskiy have all taken a place at the judges desk.
So with Len thinking of leaving and DWTS trying to breath new life into the show we may soon see another judge at the judges table and Len gone. Friends think this would be a blessing in disguise, “With all the travel, his time zones change dramatically every few days. When he does want to spend time off with his family, he;s too tired to enjoy it.”
