Ellen DeGeneres will be hosting the 2014 Oscars (because she’s an incredible host), and already the tabloids are flying off the handle, trying to find whatever story they can to bank off her upcoming gig — one of the biggest events in Hollywood by a long shot. The National Enquirer is claiming that Ellen will be undergoing a massive plastic surgery, spending an upwards of $50,000, before her big show.
The magazine, who’s become quite famous for ragging on Ellen and Portia, reports that she “has been busy consulting with experts on the best procedures to erase years” from her face. “Ellen could easily spend as much as $50,000 if she were to undergo a full facial makeover.”
The problem with these claims is that I think — and I’m sure many others think — Ellen would probably be the last person in Hollywood to undergo such drastic cosmetic procedures, as she’s all for celebrating who you are and a person’s natural beauty. Plus, she will be extremely busy filming her daytime talk show in the months leading up to the 2014 Oscars. So, unless she gets it done soon, while she’s still on her summer break, I have a feeling the Enquirer’s hope for Ellen’s face lift will go unwarranted. It’s quite difficult to hide a swollen face while filming a talk show, don’t you think?
