It was rumored that American Idol would be bringing back some of their showstoppers to judge the upcoming season. Now, it appears that we have confirmation of that.
According to the latest gossip surrounding the hit singing competition, season three runner-up Jennifer Hudson has just signed on the dotted line to judge the upcoming thirteenth season of the show. We’re surprised a little bit about her taking a deal to judge, considering that the last time we heard from her she was saying that the show should just go out on top. Us Magazine reports:
E! News reports that Hudson, 31, has finalized a deal to join the judges’ panel for season 13. Hudson made a name for herself after appearing on season 3 of American Idol in 2004. Though she only came in seventh place, Hudson went on to become a Grammy-winning singer and Academy Award-winning actress.
Also rumored to be considered for a judging spot on the show are Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken and Adam Lambert.
