Just like Victoria Beckham and Katie Price before her, Carole Middleton has her heart set on making it big across the pond. Yes, the Middleton are invading America. Party Pieces is setting up shop in NYC. But, shhhhh, you didn’t hear it from me. The family is desperate to keep this on the hush hush because it doesn’t want anyone to think it’s capitalizing on its star daughter’s monstrous royal fame in the states. Right. No one would think that. We all like to shop the UK site because it’s just so much more convenient.
A source told the New York Daily News: “Party Pieces’ overseas business has been extraordinary with America dominating much of the interest. It has prompted the Middletons to look at establishing an office in the U.S. so that they can bolster their brand and even tie into other companies and ventures. They feel New York offers them a good starting point…. The Middletons have been extremely careful not to upset Buckingham Palace by seemingly trading off Kate’s link to royalty. I am not sure if they will even announce the move or just let it happen and move on from there. They are adamant they will never trade off Kate’s royal links to get ahead in business.”
Of course this is a smart business decision. There are millions to be made in the royal-crazed states but let’s call a spade a spade here. They’re delusional if they don’t see this as capitalizing on Kate Middleton’s royal links. Why else would anyone care about their business outside of England?
But let’s look at the bright side, right? Party Pieces in NYC means more Pippa Middleton in NYC! I know she’s a tad on the boring side but I hold on to the belief that if Pippa can just get her ass out of restrictive London she might be more fun for us. Lord knows Kate’s not going to let loose any time soon. But would Pippa risk her relationship with Nico Jackson to expand the family business in NYC? All signs point to yes for me. Pippa may be in love but we do know something about her – she loves a good climb!
