When Robert Kardashian’s widow, Ellen Kardashian decided to release her husband’s diary which was loaded with explosive information, she had to know she was putting herself in the line of fire. The book claimed that Robert’s wife at the time, Kris Jenner, not only beat the kids, including Kim Kardashian but also often abandoned them to run off and hook up with her side dish, Todd Waterman.
Everything in that diary has a scary ring of truth to it. Before she was able to turn into fulltime momager, quite literally selling her family as a career, it’s hard to imagine Kris wanting to be at home with her babies. At least not for very long anyhow. Of course the Kardashian sisters all came out swinging against Ellen’s allegations but really, what else could they do? They have a family business to maintain and they carefully choose what the world can either see or know about them.
They also tried to discredit Ellen, making her sound like a passing girlfriend that their father just so happened to marry on his death bed. Ellen went straight back to In Touch to set the record straight saying,
“I was with Robert for almost five years total. I dated him for three years, and he proposed to me in 2001,” she tells the mag. “We married two months prior to his passing in 2003 and planned a wedding— we didn’t just run right out and get married.”
