MasterChef RECAP 6/5/13: Season 4 Episode 3 “18 Compete/17 Compete”

MasterChef RECAP 6/5/13: Season 4 Episode 3 "18 Compete/17 Compete"

MASTERCHEF continues on FOX tonight with an all all new episode called, “18 Compete/17 Compete.”  On tonight’s show in a team challenge, contestants must serve a healthy, balanced meal to 300 school children.  Did you watch last week’s episode?  We did and we recapped it here for you.

On last week’s show, contestants had sixty minutes to prepare the “lamb of their life”. It only took a couple of minutes for Joe to start walking around and picking people off one at a time and sending them home. All the passing contestants moved on to the next competition which was a “Mystery Box” that included one tomato, chocolate, potato and bacon. Natasha won the challenge and she got to not only skip the next challenge, but choose the ingredient; she choose langoustine. Contestants put on their bravest faces, many having never cooked langoustine before. In the end, Sasha went home for creating a dish of cheese grits with langoustine.

Tonight the top 18 compete and the top 17 compete and here is the Official Synopsis: The top 18 contestants create healthy meals for 300 children at a local elementary school. Later, Chef Ramsay participates in a mystery-box challenge. It will be interesting to see if the contestants can make enough food for 300 children and make it creative enough for them to even try it while making it healthy. If Ramsay is participating in a mystery-box challenge, I bet it will be something even more difficult than langoustine. One thing is for sure, this is going to be a great episode that you won’t want to miss.
