Emily’s dad is back. He’s kissing his girls and doesn’t appear worried when he should be.

Hanna is mad with all the proof Caleb found. She asked Caleb to forget it or at least do nothing. She also demands Spencer to look in on her sister. Hanna needs Melissa to be “A” so this can all be over. Yet Spencer is no rush to bury this just because Hanna is getting desperate.

Meanwhile the girls don’t know they’re being followed by two detectives. Everyone has their own problems so they won’t notice the cops’ interests until it’s too late.

Spencer is with her family. Spencer is snarky and her mom tells her not to be jealous of Melissa. But when her mom mentions UPenn, Spencer decides to spill her secret and ruin their family get. The university rejected her. Her mom doesn’t want to take this lying down and enlists Melissa’s help in getting Spencer into the family alma mater.

Hanna’s mom may have fallen under suspicion. Ashley was the only person to help Wilden to his safety deposit box. A box that happened to be filled with money, lots of money, and a gun. Hanna does her best to get information from Detective Linda Tanner but realizes she’s being played when the interrogation turns towards her. Caleb rescues her in time and tries to warn her they aren’t messing with small town cops anymore.

Toby leaves Spencer behind as goes to investigate his mother’s doctor. Spencer still covers for him but Aria knows she’s lying. The girls have set up a plan against Melissa and when everything is looking good Emily notices her girlfriend. Despite being warned not to keep any more secrets , she doesn’t tell Paige about social services investigating her family much less that the doctor warned her she’ll need surgery.

Aria runs into Ezra’s little boy. The kid doesn’t spill any information in front of Aria’s boyfriend but she later tells Jake the whole truth. He takes it really well and asks Aria to think over Ezra before fully committing to someone else.

Toby tracks down the doctor. Toby confronts the doctor on his mom’s death. The doctor didn’t believe Mary jumped either. However as they begin talking, Toby realizes the doctor isn’t well. He’s now patient. Even though the doctor is unstable he does mention that Toby should keep his mom away from the blond girl.

Hanna’s mom has had her privileges suspended. Ashley is freaking out and trying to reassure her daughter when Hanna admits she knows Ashley was in Rose Wood. Hanna and Caleb are talking about her mom when the detectives come by her house. They want to speak to her mom so Hanna lies about Ashley being out and Caleb helps cover for her.

Aria and Spencer are watching Melissa respond to their trap. Melissa does go to the sculptor’s house. But she leaves dragging a large sack. Spencer follows her sister and Aria goes in to see if the sculptor, Hector, is still alive. Melissa is smashing mask before she dumps into the water. Yet Aria finds a whole row of masks of Allison’s face. Hector is still alive and Aria demands answers. Allison had come by his place with someone. The other person was driving but Hector never saw who. That was the summer Allison disappeared. Aria asks about Melissa and Hector admits Melissa traded her face for information.

Spencer begins to question her sister. Melissa says she was trying to protect her and that Wilden was the one blackmailing all of them into doing things. But he wasn’t the leader, someone was controlling Wilden. Also that Wilden was the one that set the fire. Spencer then asks if Melissa was the one that killed Wilden; Melissa replies she wouldn’t want to know.

Emily’s parents are confronting her over her injuries. Emily refuses to answer them. Instead she runs away. She goes to the pool and finds Paige. She finally tells her what’s been happening and her girlfriend supports her. She returns to her house and finds cops. Someone had called in a domestic dispute.

Spencer and Aria return to Rosewood. “A” texted them to say she wasn’t Melissa. Hanna comes in before they could call her. She believes her mom killed Wilden and “A” knows it.

“A” has decided to glue back one of Melissa’s face mask.
