Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey put away his werewolf claws for a brief period to appear in Funny or Die‘s spoof trailer inspired by Shel Silverstein’s famous story The Giving Tree. The movie trailer turns the story on its head and takes it in a hilarious turn, making the mysterious tree a crazy horror-movie-style killer!
The trailer is narrated by the tree and, in the beginning, right after the tree dislodges its roots from the earth, Tyler screams, “Holy s*** I’ve pissed off the tree!”
The trailer is ridiculous, hilarious, and just might make you terrified to sit beneath a tree again (just kidding, we think you’ll be just fine). Watch the trailer below and let us know what you think. Tyler’s show on MTV definitely employs heavy doses of comedy (though it’s technically a supernatural/horror-themed show), and this brief role for Funny or Die just might prove to his fans that he should seek more humorous roles/character/projects in the future.
