Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s new series THE HERO has been doing very well in ratings and no surprise to The Rock fans who know how great he is and are missing him in the wrestling ring. After last week’s episode “Trust”, my new goal is to sit down and drink a beer with The Rock like they do on the show. Last week, Athena wasn’t mad that Shaun took the money and most likely because she knew that if is she was presented with the same opportunity she was going to do the same. Surprisingly enough, Athena does get an offer in the last episode and doesn’t even have to think twice about taking it as she has a brother who is paralyzed and she knows that the money can really help the family pay the medical bills which will relieve a lot of stress.
Shaun, Athena and Darnell win a snake challenge and get to kick back and share a beer with The Rock, does it get any better? Dave gets really pissed off when he finds out that Athena took the money, Dave and Shaun get into an argument then Marty and Athena start swearing back and forth, love the drama! Darnell does The Hero challenge and he does so well that The Rock calls him a black Spiderman. There is a prize of $50,000 and Darnell gets to choose to keep it, or put it in the pot. After an emotional conversation with his daughter, Darnell decides to keep the money, good for him.
Tonight The Hero is back and if the contestants have learned one thing so far, it is that everyone is in this thing for themselves. I hardly doubt at this point if anyone will put money in the pot moving forward.
Episode Synopsis: Episode Synopsis: After a twist is revealed, the aspiring heroes must leap off a building and climb up an abandoned elevator shaft. Also: an open-water swim in the ocean.
