Alex Preston sang, “Every Breath You Take” by The Police which was was his 1980s song choice. This week the Top 8 will have to bring their A game to stay around for another week, we expect a higher level of performances after last week’s shocking results. Last week, the judges used their one save of the season, so one bad performance and its game over. On last week’s episode Alex sang “Fairytales” and original song he wrote and Jennifer loved his rendition saying, “You stayed true to yourself since the very beginning. The things we loves about you in the beginning are the things we loved about you now. I even noticed the new move you do.”
Season 7 winner of American Idol, David Cook mentored the hopeful Idols tonight to help them bring their best performances so they make it through another week. On the next live results show airing Thursday, one contestant will be sent home.
