Comedian Jay Mohr came under fire for criticizing Alyssa Milano‘s post-pregnancy body and weight, and Alyssa is now hitting back at his comments.
Mohr was giving a radio interview when he discussed an event that both he and Alyssa attended. He explained, “She was one of the presenters. She’s very tiny, in height…It seems like she had a baby and said, ‘I don’t really give a s–t’…I read it on her gut. Somebody sat in the director’s chair and was not wearing Spanx and I was like, ‘Jesus Christ.'”
It may have taken a little while for the comments to reach Alyssa, but she took to her Twitter to respond, writing, “@jaymohr37 So sorry you felt the need to publicly fat-shame me. Be well and God Bless. Please send my love to your beautiful wife. You’re all lovely. Thank you for your kind words. #Appreciative.”
You know the saying. You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Sometimes, it’s better in the long run to be nice, even if the other person doesn’t deserve it. Alyssa’s being the bigger person here, but there’s an underlying current of anger to her words, and rightly so. She literally just had her kid, and she’s already being criticized for her weight? Let’s see Jay Mohr try to have a baby and then lose all that weight. It’s not like he’s in any great shape to begin with, so I don’t even see how he’s in the position to fat shame another celebrity.
