As Oliver looked down the scope of the rifle, he saw the target was his best friend, Tommy (guest star Colin Donnell). Team Arrow is on the move. The search into Sara’s murder has been fruitless and so after spending far too much time following one dead end after another – Oliver has decided to bench the investigation while he works on finding his sister. If anything watching Laurel grieve over her sister has taught Oliver the importance of family. However Thea doesn’t seem to have the same regard for him as he does for her. Thea had told him that she was in Italy but apparently she’s on an island off of South America.

Felicity had traced her position back to Corto Maltese and when Oliver had first had about it – he couldn’t understand why his sister would go there.

He knows all about the letter she wrote to Roy and all it said was that she was never planning on coming back. But there was nothing inside of said letter that referenced her in any way starting a new life like the one she has on the island. Thea is waitressing and seeing as she started out as a spoiled trust fund kid – that’s quite an adjustment.
Though Oliver ended up forgiving her for everything (lying to him, moving away, and even changing her name) the moment he saw her.

Oliver, Roy, and even a very reluctant Diggle all went to Corto Maltese. Roy and Oliver wanted to see if they could fix things for Thea. Reassure that it’s safe to come home. And Diggle on the hand was actually sent to the island as a favor to Lila. One of her operatives hadn’t checked it and she just wanted her boyfriend to go and make sure everything was alright with Agent Shaw.

And Shaw was fine. Physically, he appeared to be as fit as ever. But mentally, some screws had come loose. Shaw had switched sides in the intelligence war and luckily Diggle was able to realize that before he led Oliver into a trap.

Roy mercifully wasn’t with them during the fall out of the failed attack. He had gone to see Thea. Roy wanted to know the real reason she wanted to stay. Because earlier she had told Oliver that she wanted a life without lies. And if it was really as simple as all that then Roy was willing to give her all the space she could ever need.

Yet Thea chose to lie to him. She said what really needed was to be alone and she’s not alone. She’s been staying on the island with her biological father. Otherwise known as the guy that killed hundreds of people as part of his terroristic attack on the slums in Starling City.

As for what was happening back in the city while the boys’ Island getaway turned into the trip from hell, Laurel got herself into some trouble. She tried to go all vigilante on a guy that beats up his girlfriend. And he ended up getting the last word in their fight.

Laurel didn’t want to feel powerless and because she has no way of channeling her grief about her sister to anyone outside Team Arrow – she tried (in a way) to become Sara. To be fearless as her. But as she’s learned it the hard – she now knows someone just doesn’t become the Canary overnight.
And that’s where Laurel is heading!

Laurel had used Felicity’s help to tracked down the boyfriend. And Diggle had called Felicity from the Island to get her to track down their recently missing Agent Shaw. He had disappeared after he couldn’t kill the guys on his first try. Although the last part doesn’t really matter. What does in fact count is that Felicity’s friends kept calling her on her first day at her new job.

And they weren’t trying to be inconsiderate towards. Felicity is the one that simply hadn’t gotten around to telling them about her new position yet. So until she does – she’s going to have to learn how to juggle it all. And, hopefully, she won’t lose her job or her friends in the process.

Back on the island, Diggle and Oliver dealt with Shaw. And then Oliver pleaded one last time with Thea. He told her what really happened to their father. To Robert.

He wanted to tell her everything but Diggle and Roy had warned him off. They said she would never trust another word out of his mouth if he did. So Oliver only mentioned Robert and Robert’s suicide. Oliver wanted Thea to know that both of their parents sacrificed for their families and now Thea is all he has left.

So Thea chose to leave the island Malcolm in order to go home with Oliver. But this Thea isn’t the same girl that Oliver knew from a couple of months ago. This one was personally trained by her father and she doesn’t seem to be afraid of anything anymore.

When Oliver returned to Starling he found a beaten up Laurel. And she wanted him to train her into being like him and Sara. However she was forced to take a different martial arts class seeing as Oliver felt like he would betraying Sara’s memory if he allowed Laurel to risk her life.

But there are other pressing things connected to Sara, like her former lover showing up armed. You remember the woman that was in the League of Assassins with Sara!

THE END!
