Tonight’s episode of Catfish has a welcomed third party joining the guys. Supermodel Selita was a fan of the show and because she has prior dealing with people stealing her photos and pretending to be her – she asked to join the producers for their investigation.

The case they’ll be looking into is Bianca and Brogan. Bianca has been in an on and off relationship with the girl she met online called Brogan. The reason why their relationship hasn’t been stable is that there was a time when Brogan simply disappeared off the net. And it was hard for Bianca to deal with so she never moved on despite the stunt.

Why did she just leave Brogan?

Bianca had turned to Brogan because she frighteningly wanted someone to kind of save her. So Selita is worried. This is the first time she gets to see for herself how committed some people can be and it has made her worry about the what ifs. If Brogan isn’t the young woman she’s claiming to be then what going to happen to Bianca?

Selita though has a theory about Brogan nearly year long absence. She thinks Brogan disappeared because she was pregnant. A bit of a stretch for a lesbian but yet somehow it still panned out in the end. They did a photo search and that led nowhere and neither did tracing Brogan’s phone number. So they googled the name and found someone had been using that name to impersonate Chloe. Chloe is the actual girl from the pictures and she was pregnant a few months ago.

Someone had used her picture to trap Bianca in a fake relationship. This Brogan also created a fake name similar to Chloe’s. They used the last name off of her boyfriend so that they could explain away Chloe’s tattoo in honor of him as a way to say she’s remembering her brother.

So now only the hard part remains – telling Bianca. Bianca has always been ostracized for her sexual orientation. Growing up, people in her church tried to talk her mom into making her wear dresses and acting like a “normal” girl.

That’s why Bianca turned to “Brogan”. She wanted someone to take her away from her small town and thought her girlfriend would be the answer. But “Brogan” is a liar. There is no doubt about that now and if she’s lying about her name and her appearances then what else is she lying about?

Trust is a big issue with Bianca. And she told “Brogan” her life story which makes her feel worse. “Brogan” is the one with all the power!

Nev called “Brogan” and the girl said her real name (after she was confronted about the lying) is Tia. Tia lives in Ohio and she told Nev that she did want to meet Bianca. And when they arrived to meet her – she was thankfully there. Tia is pretty and she does have passing resemblance to the girl she was impersonating, but she felt the need to lie and that’s a major molehill for anyone to climb over. Especially with Bianca.

Tia has apologized and said that she chose to be Brogan because she didn’t really like who she was and she explained the year absence. She had put a stop to being “Brogan” because she finally realized it was wrong however Bianca doesn’t want to forgive.

She never would have judged Tia for being over 300 pounds and yet she’s judging Tia for lying this long. Bianca won’t trust a word that comes out of the other girl’s mouth. It’s going to take her a while to not be angry with the situation.

And the guys want to help her with that. They knows she’s pretty hardened and only lets a few people in as it is so they want to see how much of Tia’s story is real. Max, Nev, and Selita returned to Tia’s house to talk to her. Selita wanted to know why someone who was never discriminated against for her weight and her sexual orientation would do something as cruel as catfish. So Tia admitted she gone through something during her freshman at high school that set her self-esteem plummeting.

It was too much to share with the producers but Tia felt that Bianca should know why she came to suffer from self-image problems.

Tia’s past isn’t an excuse though Bianca needed to hear that Tia didn’t set out to intentionally hurt her. And after listening to her – Bianca is willing to let Tia earn back her trust.

THE END!
