As Voight and his team search for the bombers, they realize there might be more bombs set to detonate; Burgess’ niece fights for her life.

Tonight’s episode begins where Chicago Fire left off last night in the last part of the big crossover event. If you didn’t see Chicago Fire last night, be sure to read our recap so you can pick up right where we left off. We left off last night with Leslie collapsing in the hospital after hanging in helping others for hours, all while having a huge gaping would. Doctors rush to help her. Officer Atwater carries her to a room where they will try to fix and stitch her wound. She is passed out completely.

Outside, Boden and his team talk with Voight and his team. Voight vows to get the monster who is responsible for the explosion. The FBI is having a press conference and Voight makes his way in. The FBI representative shares some possible suspects and remind everyone to come to him with any new information they find. Voight introduces himself to the FBI agent and he replies with a grateful handshake and request to help closing off the perimeter, etc. Voight is not having it though and quickly informs him that he and his team is going full force on this and plan to do way more than mark a perimeter. Voight sternly reminds the FBI agent, “This is my city.”

One of the doctors, Holly, finds out her sister is still alive, but there has been no brain activity for a while.

Meanwhile, Detective Lindsay is interviewing a doctor. Halstead attempts to question a doctor about what he may have seen but he says all he can think about is saving lives. The team is having a briefing when Lindsay walks in and shares the news about Officer Burgess and what is going on with her little niece who is in need of a new liver. They all go immediately to see her and she gives them the update. Voight tells Atwater to get out to the perimeter. Jin gives an update on the explosive. He found that it was set to go off at 8:30PM, noting something was screwed up with the bomb.

Shortly after, Detective Jin is in the parking garage with the others who are fingerprinting the car with the second explosive. The team heads out to the apartment of a suspect. They walk in to find a man shot in the head, but Lindsay suspects it is set up to look like a suicide when he was actually shot. Voight orders as much information on the guy as possible. Back at the hospital, Jin is showing pictures of possible suspects when Olinsky notices one looks very familiar. He recalls seeing him in the hospital. They immediately set out to look for him and Lindsay finds him and asks him to come with her. Just when it looks like he’ll comply, he moves swiftly, pulls a knife, and grabs Lindsay—putting the gun to her neck. Cruz and Mills are nearby and have a plan. They district the psychotic man so that they can get a good whack from behind and Lindsay can break free. She thanks her Firehouse 51 friends and follows after they cuff and carry the suspect out. Voight takes him in a room and threatens him, demanding he tell him everything. Voight says he wants to know what is happening at 8:30PM. When the suspect is uncooperative, Voight gets a little more physical making the grown man cry. When the team meets up again, Voight finds out there may be another man involved. It is a man that Voight saw when they were driving down the street earlier in the day.

Dawson meets with the father of the suspect they caught after getting some information from his son leading them to believe the father, who is incarcerated, is in on the scheme. While Dawson asks him about whether or not there is something else planned, as they believe, the father just says how proud he is of his son. When Dawson sees he is getting nowhere with him, he blatantly asks him what he wants. That is when dear old dad goes on about how the PD has gone down now because they have let minorities in. Dawson gets up and kicks the chair the father sits on, causing him to fall.

Meanwhile, the doctor who has been helping the two little girls gets an idea. As one is brain dead and is going to soon come off life support, Burgess’ niece may be able to get the liver she needs. He suggests the idea to the family. They tell the doctor that their daughter Imogene wants to give her friend her liver. Burgess’ niece will get the liver. The doctors rush to begin.

The FBI gets a tape with a warning and now they know who the threat is for. The District 21 team is there as well and all are watching the video where the man Voight saw on the street earlier is starring and making it known that the explosion was a direct threat against Chicago PD and Chicago Fire because he feels his father was wronged. He vows revenge against anyone who is a part of either agency.

Ruzek and Halstead offer to go in to the building where the suspects planned this job. They find all kinds of items the destructive team left behind, likely assuming everything would be gone. The rest of the team races, in different cars, in search of a van that may have an explosive. Bomb squad is called as Olinsky finds the van in question. Dawson sees something from the roof of a nearby hotel as they wait by the van. Just then, Halstead and Lindsay pull up and Dawson tells them to go check out what’s going on on the roof while they stay with the van. When they go in, a gun battle ensues as part of the infamous group goes after them. Just as they take down the bad guys and run up to the roof, they are met with more gunfire. They shoot but don’t kill him but after getting under Voight’s skin, he almost gets thrown off the roof. They all save the day. The bomb squad takes care of the bomb and our favorite team from District 21 takes care of the disgraceful men responsible for the heinous crime. The team heads back to the hospital in support of Burgess and they all hear the good news together that her niece will be okay.

Later that night, Severide comes to see Lindsay. He greets her with a kiss. They head to the bedroom. Lindsay tells him she only requests he stay all night. He assures her he is not going anywhere. They must have some serious chemistry to have any energy after what they just went through! Tell us what you thought of the special crossover between Chicago Fire and Chicago PD!
