He says he and Sylvie are getting married and tells her that she’s a love maker. Wade comes up and complains that more of her junk got delivered to his house. Brando says he and Sylvie want Zoe and Wade to do a reading together at the reading. They both say no, but he won’t hear it. He hugs them and goes. Zoe yells at Wade that the box isn’t hers but he leaves it there and she congratulates herself on her matchmaking skills.

Lemon is on the phone turning down reservations. Fancies is booked solid after Walter’s reviews. Her grandma comes in and tells her she’s booked her on a luxury Southern singles cruise. She calls it Noah’s ark in reverse and Lemon tells her she’s not going because she’s busy with her business. Her grandmother says no one is there, but Lemon tells her that they’re not even open for the day yet. Lemon says she’s got a meeting and can’t talk anymore. Her grandmother dials Magnolia angrily for help and says she’ll pay her.

Rose begs Brick for an internship opportunity. She says she’s seen every episode of House but Brick won’t have it. Zoe says she can shadow her but Rose is set on Brick. Crazy Earl is there to see Zoe. Brick’s mom comes in and says they need to have lunch but he says he’s busy mentoring Rose all day. His mom says dinner tonight and leaves. Brick tells Rose to make coffee.

Lavon is putting together a ping pong table and George asks what happened to the breakfast invitation. He asks if he just lured him over there to help put it together. Frank runs in with their freeway sign and shows them that it’s been tagged. He says it’s a crime wave. Lavon says it’s an opportunity. Blue Bell is listed after Fillmore and Fairhope and Lavon says they’ll get the Comptroller to put them first on the replacement sign.

George offers to call to set up a meeting but Lavon says to invite them out to dinner and show them his super bowl rings to schmooze them. George runs out and Frank asks what he can do to help and Lavon tells him to put together the ping pong table.

Zoe checks out Earl who tells her he’s four weeks and two days dry. She asks what inspired it and he says he wants to be his best self. Zoe asks if he’s in love and he tells her she’s good. She says she’s happy but he says May Ellen doesn’t know he exists – he’s got the hots for the health inspector. Zoe asks if he’s told her and he says he’s working up to talking to her. Zoe tells him that she’s glad and can help him.

Lemon meets with Ms LaRue and tells her that Fancies is the perfect place for the wedding. Melanie is worried that they have no web presence but only found a candy store and an escort service. Lemon tells them that the review crashed their site but it will be up this week along with photos of weddings they’ve held there (none BTWs).

Zoe comes to tell Wade that his dad has dried out but he tries to kick her out. She says Earl needs their help. She tells him he should give his dad some romance pointers. He says the last time Earl had a date he showed up drunk in his underwear in the wrong town. Zoe says the two of them can help them. She tells him he’s a crappier son than he is a neighbor. She says she can do it without him but Wade thinks it will fail no matter what.

Lemon meets with AB to discuss her website crisis. AB is dozing off and tells her she was up all night. Lemon says new boyfriend and all that and AB admits it’s true but worries that Davis is too good to be true. Lemon tells her to focus on how she can get wedding photos on her website. AB says they can fake a wedding. Lemon says she needs photos of real weddings and Wade tells them that Brando and Sylvie are planning a wedding. Lemon asks Wade to get them to move the wedding to four days from now. He refuses to help.

Robin Gilmartin comes in to talk to Wade as the owner of the Rammer Jammer. He says he can’t turn it down.

Brick is teaching Rose to do stitches on an orange when Magnolia comes in and says her grandma made her come home. Rose tells her they all miss her and she says she’s there to shadow her dad because she may want to be a doctor. Mags says she has dorm room photos to show her dad but he’s way into the mentoring and tells her that he’ll see her at home. He and Rose go to look at x-rays of kidney stones.

George and Lavon have steaks going and Lavon pulls out a fantastic and old bottle of Scotch. The doorbell rings and Comptroller Riley is there but tells them he brought a plus one. It’s Fillmore’s Mayor Gainey who also called to discuss freeway signage as well. Gainey brings a giant cheese wheel and eyes the Scotch but Lavon puts it out.

Zoe takes Earl for a makeover and he’s not into it until Zoe tells him that May likes a clean cut male. She also pulls out new shirts for him and tells him about stuff that May is into. She’s got him cleaned up and in a suit and sends him into the bookstore to ask her for a date. She gives him instructions and sends him in then watches through the glass. He speaks to her but Zoe can’t hear it. IT looks good.

Lemon meets with Brando and tries to talk him into having the wedding there this weekend. She offers him a 70% discount and tells him he’s not getting any younger.

Zoe comes to tell Wade that she’s celebrating. She asks for a glass of champagne and tells him that Earl is out for a date with May. May is there alone and asks Wade if he’s heard from his dad. She says he was supposed to meet her an hour ago.

Lemon calls Brando for an answer but then sees Davis in the car with a woman. She comes to confront him but then sees that he’s picking out a ring. The woman is his jewelry broker. She tells her which ring is best and asks if he’s proposing. He worries that AB is with her and she tells him she’s not. He says he knows it’s quick but he loves her. He tells her he’s going to bake the ring into a cake and Lemon tells her that AB deserves something special. She says they could turn the dining room into the backdrop of AB’s dreams and says she’ll take pictures.

Zoe says maybe Earl was mistaken about the location. She says she can find Earl but May is long gone. Zoe says that Earl was so excited and Wade tells her that he goes from excited to nervous to drunk. She says that Earl came to her for advice. She says she is a love maker and he says she’s making people sick. She asks if he’s worried and he tells her Earl is sleeping a drunk off. She says she’s going to go find his dad and he refuses to come.

Grandma lays out the table settings and she’s got Lemon trapped in a corner. She tells Magnolia her job is to remind Lemon how she’ll die alone if she doesn’t go on the cruise. Lemon texts and says she’s working late and Brick texted with the same news. Mags is tasks to go chase them down.

Lavon wants the sign laid out alphabetically but Gainey says no one getting of the freeway is coming to Blue Bell anyway. They argue and George asks the Comptroller what he thinks. He asks what the salad dressing is and George tells him it’s a vinaigrette. Lavon insists they deserve top billing but then the Comptroller snaps. He says they will settle this the way they settle things at his house – with a competition. He tells Gainey and Lavon they can play ping pong for it. He says to open the Scotch and point him to the couch.

Wade calls Robin and leaves her a message saying he’s interested in her proposal. Wanda wants to know what it’s about but he won’t tell her. Lilly Ann is there to sing and Wade says he only let her because she promised not to sing about him. LA dedicates the song to a special guy. She sings a song called Love Monkey and then tells her Love Monkey to stand up. It’s Meatball and Lilly Ann tells everyone they’re getting married. Wade is shocked but Wanda says that anything is possible.

Zoe goes to Earl’s looking for him and finds an empty bottle of whiskey. But then she hears him calling for help. He calls to her and tells her that he’s stuck in his booby trap. She goes to find him and also falls in. She asks him what the hell. He asks if he’s missed his date. Earl tells Zoe that he went through a survivalist phase and built it. She asks how he ended up in it and he says he was nervous after May agreed to the date.

He says that he did buy a bottle but didn’t take a drink. He tells her he poured it out then took a walk to clear his head and fell in. Zoe says she doesn’t have cell signal and she asks for a boost but he says he thinks he sprained his ankle. Wade is there and looks in and says he’s never been so disappointed by something so expected. Zoe tells him that he’s not drunk and he asks how she’s still on her high horse when she’s stuck in a hole. Wade goes to get a ladder and Earl says he’s son is a jackass.

AB tells Lemon she booked Cricket and Stanley’s renewal of vows for that weekend but Brando is also booked for that weekend. Meatball calls and tells Lemon that they also want the big discount to get married that weekend.

Gainey and Lavon battle it out at ping ping while George and Riley watch. The Comptroller tells George the worst part about his job is that no one can pronounce his title and they make jokes about it. He asks George for more Scotch. Lavon tells Gainey that he’s not left handed (like the Princess Bride joke) and takes the lead. Gainey is confused and tries to say the same thing.

Mags comes in and calls Rose single white female. She asks what she’s done with her dad and she says he’s downstairs pulling out old x-rays. Mags is jealous and Rose says that she’s never shown an interest and that’s why he hasn’t shown her any of this stuff. Zoe is freaked out because Earl’s sprain is serious. He passes out and Zoe yells to Wade to call 911 and says if they don’t hurry, Earl could lose his foot.

Earl’s ankle is actually broken and it’s putting pressure on his spine. She tells Wade they’ve got to pull his leg bones apart to try and force it back in. She tells him he has to be careful and not pull harder than her or they could do more damage. They pop it back in and Earl comes to. She splints the ankle and tells Wade to go flag down the ambulance.

Brick comes in and tells Rose he picked up dinner but Rose is gone and Mags is there and mad. She accuses him of finding a new daughter of his dreams. She says he sent her off to live with grandma then boarding school because he doesn’t care. He says that it’s nice for someone to care about his life’s work and she says his life’s work is stupid and that you can get better medical advice online.

Mags stomps out and Rose comes back in. He says that Magnolia is being dramatic but Rose tells him his daughter has a point. Mags is only home for one night and instead of being home with her, he’s there showing her old x-rays. He takes this to heart.

Davis comes in and compliments Lemon on how nice Fancies looks. She tells him to be back in half an hour and reminds him not to look directly into the camera when she’s taking photos. Meatball comes in and tells Lemon that the main dish at his wedding with Lilly Ann needs to be meatballs. He runs off excited. Grandma comes in and tells Lemon she’s got limited time to pack and get her hair done for the cruise.

She tells her grandma that she’s got three wedding this weekend and she asks Lemon why she can’t get out of her own way and get into a relationship. She tells Lemon that she’s filling the hole in her heart with busywork. Lemon gets firm with her grandma and tells her she’s not going.

Lavon and Gainey keep tying and they are at match point again. George tells Riley he feels like he’s been there a week. Gainey scores a point and the Comptroller says they have a winner. Lavon has to admit he played fair and square. They shake but then George insists on shaking too. He looks at Gainey’s fingernails and says it matches the red paint that was used to tag the sign.

Gainey asks what he’s implying and Lavon accuses him. George says they can pull the security footage. The Comptroller isn’t happy. Gainey says he just loves his town so much. Riley tells Lavon Blue Bell gets top billing and tells Gainey to drive him home. They leave and George admits there is no security footage. They laugh.

The medics are there and Wade tells Earl that Zoe saved him. He apologizes for dragging them out there and Wade asks if he’s really been sober for four weeks. Earl says he’s a fool but Wade says that anything is possible.

Davis brings a blindfolded AB into Fancies. She looks around in tears and then Davis is there on one knee and proposes to AB. One of the candles catches the drapes on fire and Lemon screams as the flames go everywhere and the sprinklers come on spraying her and Grandma. Davis asks AB what her answer is and she says they need to get out of there. They run out of Fancies.

Brick comes home and Mags tells him she’s sorry she’s not into medical things. He says she was right and he was enjoying hanging out with Rose and showing her his work stuff. He says that he thinks she’s loud sometimes because he’s not listening. Brick says that just the two of them are going to take a two week vacation. He tells her she can pick where. She asks for Vegas and he says no. Lemon calls and tells him about the fire. Mags says that it wasn’t her.

Lemon is devastated because her three weddings are now a disaster. Brick comes and tells her it’s going to be okay. Her grandma is being a pain and Brick threatens to have her hauled off. Mags tells her she still owes her $50.

Wade comes and tells Zoe that Earl is at the hospital for a day or two and is stable. He thanks her and tells her she was right about everything. He says she saved his dad and she says she got Earl into this but Wade won’t hear this. Zoe tells Wade that she’s willing to do the wedding at Brando’s wedding if he will. Wade says he’d like to do it but he won’t go to the wedding.

Wade says he has work. He says he got an offer to franchise the Rammer Jammer and Zoe tells him that’s amazing. He says he was going to tell her but then the whole Earl thing happened. He says he’s going to be in Atlanta opening up the next Rammer Jammer. Zoe asks how long he’ll be gone and he says he doesn’t know. She tells him she’s happy for him and congratulates him. He tells her good night and leaves. Zoe watches him leave longingly. Awww…
