The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton isn’t doing herself or anyone else in the royal family any favors if she keeps snubbing Queen Elizabeth like she’s been doing. According to reports from the other side of the pond, Kate has decided that she and her husband Prince William are spending the Christmas holidays alone, with barely an appearance at the Queen’s Sandringham Christmas breakfast! Uh oh!
The royal family are just like regular people in that they really love spending the holidays with family, but if Kate has her way, then she and Prince George will be spending Christmas with just William and no one else. Is her second pregnancy making the Duchess a bit cranky so that she only wants to spend time with her husband? Or could it be that Kate’s long standing feud with Camilla Parker-Bowles is a large part of the problem. Camilla will be hanging around Queen Elizabeth throughout the holiday in anticipation of further influencing the monarch to make Prince Charles the next King and her Queen.
A source said that while the happy young royal couple will join the Queen at Sandringham in the morning, they are planning on spending the rest of the day at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, England – away from everyone else.
The source said, “William spoke to the Queen about doing their own thing, especially since Kate has been suffering with acute morning sickness. He thought it would be nice for her to have a low-key Christmas. The Queen agreed. Kate, William and George will join the royal family on Christmas morning before parting ways until Boxing Day. They will rejoin Boxing Day for the annual shoot.”
Last year, Kate and William spent the holiday season with her family and this year she will be shunning the Queen and the rest of the royal family in order to spend time alone with her husband and son. Another source said, “Christmas in previous years has been formal and duty-filled. Timetables and instructions were even handed out to guests! But Wills’ Christmas with the Middletons last year made him realize how much more enjoyable the festive period could be and he’s been campaigning with Kate to bring that informal flavor to the royal fold.”
Perhaps Kate didn’t want to spend Christmas with the Queen because she thought it would come with an agenda? What do you think?
