Love & Hip Hop Hollywood has some of the most interesting reality ‘stars’ on television, and that includes hip hop producer Mally Mall. According to reports [via TMZ], Mr. Mall [yes that’s his name] has bullet-proofed his Maybach because he thinks he’s going to get shot.
Apparently, he’s not only bullet-proofed his car, but also bomb-proofed it. Over reacting or playing it safe? You be the judge, but Love & Hip Hop Hollywood’s Mally Mall claims that the rap industry has become too unsafe for him to risk it. I guess he didn’t really think about the fact that most of these industry shootings happened inside clubs, bars, and open areas, and bullet-proofed cars aren’t going to do him any good if he’s inside a club when someone opens fire.
Anyway, Mall cites the recent shootings involving Suge Knight and Chris Brown, as well as the one that happened backstage at a Wiz Khalifa show, as inspiration for his recent security upgrades.
And what exactly do these security upgrades – including bullet-proofing and bomb-proofing – entail? Well, it means that the windows of his car have double-paned glass with holes in them for Mall to return fire, plus the frame has steel plates. So basically, Mall decided to take inspiration from Samuel L. Jackson‘s SHIELD car in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Except in the movie, Jackson’s character was the head of a notorious intelligence corporation with tons of enemies, and Mally Mall is… just a rapper. I mean, if it makes him feel safe, good for him, I guess. Again, I don’t see what good it will do if someone opens fire backstage at a concert, but it certainly gives him something to show off.
