Last week Nick Cannon gave a radio interview on March 27th, coincidentally on the day of his wife Mariah Carey’s birthday party. The media went into a frenzy and posted a slew of “Oh No He Didn’t!” articles after Cannon actually bragged about sleeping with Kim Kardashian on air. Happy birthday wifey, I banged Kim Kardashian, and I still can’t stop bragging about it.
Nick Cannon was met with a lot of skepticism and hate after his Power 106 interview. People were disgusted that Cannon not only continues to name drop Kim Kardashian, but actually discussed it on air on Mariah’s birthday of all days. Disrespectful would be an understatement.
Howard Stern questioned Nick Cannon on air this week about the frenzy he created during his Power 106 interview, and the number of listeners who thought that he crossed a line and slammed his wife Mariah.
Cannon told Howard Stern: “She doesn’t even know who Kim Kardashian is. She doesn’t pay attention to that. … I thought I was being coy and cunning by naming someone or people that I actually was in a relationship with. The world knew these, these weren’t like names that, you know, I pulled out of a hat – these are people you’ve seen me on red carpets with, engaged, in love and all of that stuff, so wasn’t like it was new information. … You know sometimes, as my wife says, sometimes I should just keep my big mouth shut.“
So, not only does Nick not regret his comments at all, he actually added insult to injury and told the world that his wife Mariah Carey doesn’t even know who Kim Kardashian is. Seriously? Either Nick Cannon is completely lying through his teeth and trying to downplay the situation, or Mariah Carey is much bigger self-absorbed diva than we all thought she was. Is she seriously that involved in herself that she has never heard of Kim Kardashian? Nick Cannon did get one thing right in his chat with Howard Stern, he should definitely just “keep his big mouth shut.”
