Christopher LaSalle is considered a holiday junkie and yet he’s not excited about Christmas. So there must be a story there and frankly Brody is way too interested in finding out what it is. But, in the meantime, whatever those two got going on needs to be sidelined. It looks like they have bigger things on their plates this holiday season.

A retired Navy SEAL was murdered and unfortunately it happened at a navy event. And in case you were wondering – yes that means something.

When one of their own is killed in a building of servicemen and no one saw anything – the case becomes a bit of a black eye for the organization. Then to add to an already heaping amount of embarrassment – the victim is kind of well-known among this particular group of people.

His name was Bud Samuels and, though he wasn’t a war hero, he was still famous. You see Bud used to track down and investigate people pretending to be in the navy. Often these people would so in the name of some scam or another and that’s what Bud wanted to put a stop to. Hence his nickname which even he used – the Imposter Hunter.

But with a job like his, Bud naturally made enemies so the team looked through his extensive files and they focused on people he was currently investigating around the time of his death.

And what they found was a modern retelling of Bonnie and Clyde. No, literally Bonnie and Clyde! Some con-artist and his girlfriend, after they were caught burning evidence red-handed, gave Brody and LaSalle a run for the money before escaping arrest entirely by coming up with some harebrained scheme.

Apparently, they’re in love and despite one of them being a killer – those two actually thought they would ride off into the sunset. But when reality kicked in – it him them hard!

The two were eventually caught and they were brought up on charges but the team still needed something else from them. They had found a servicemen jacket at their apartment and that servicemen was reported as killed in action.

He was Petty Officer Zach Chase and he reportedly died during an explosion in Afghanistan. So the fact someone had his jacket – has given his family a reason to hope. Sadly Zach’s body was never recovered and his parents would love nothing more than to lay him to rest.

So a hunt was on for Zach’s body and after they followed lead after lead – the team traced the jacket back to a little boy named Ahmed. Ahmed said he got the jacket from the rebels in his village. He was with them a month ago, carrying out an errand, when he met the “man in the hole”. It was that man that had actually given him the jacket.

And that man could possibly be Zach Chase.

Pride and LaSalle hopped on the first plane ride to Afghanistan once they heard the little boy’s story. But, by time they arrived, there was no longer a man in the hole. Though there was info left behind. They knew Zach was defiantly the one that was held captive and it seems the rebels were using him to build detonators.

Luckily, though, Zach never lost hope of being found. So he ended up refusing to build their bombs and instead he left clues to were the rebels were taking him in case help arrived after he left. And, funnily enough, that’s how Pride and LaSalle found him.

The guys followed his coordinates and they finally freed Zach from 9 months of captivity. And because he was reported dead – his parents had honestly given up hope on ever finding him. But somehow he survived and they all the more appreciative when he came back.

They profusely thanked the team for returning their son to them. And the case also gave LaSalle a reason to be happy this time of the year.

He was upset before because he couldn’t find his brother but after he helped find Zach he realized he shouldn’t give up hope on tracking down his sibling!

THE END!
