Jafaar got exactly what he wanted. Amara, scared about losing her son, helped him build the rules of magic and now that Jafaar has become this powerful he’s not going to let anyone stop him.

Which leaves Amara in the uncomfortable position of having to go on the run. After all she is the only one as strong as Jafaar and he never did like competition. But just before he was going to kill her, his father stopped him. The Sultan wanted to talk him out of his madness and sadly he failed.

Jafaar used his new magic to make his father love him (seeing as he could never do that on his own). It was a moment he has waited on for so long and yet Jafaar couldn’t let go of all his resentment even though he was now in the position of power. After he made the Sultan love him he then chose to kill him.

However playing mind games with his father took up more time than he thought and it allowed Amara to flee with her son and Alice.

They sought refuge with the White Rabbit. There, Amara was able to heal her son but the fight was far from over. She’s planning on taking Jafaar down and she’s going to need everyone’s help to do it.

Amara wants to return her water to the well and Alice disagrees. If they do as Amara wants then she’ll be breaking her promise to Will. They won’t be able to save the Red Queen and Alice knows how what Anastasia means to her friend.

Although she didn’t have to worry about waking up the Queen – Jafaar has already done that!

He woke her up just to toy with Will. Anastasia is back but she’s had a few adjustments made. Like now she thinks she’s in love with Jafaar. And his manipulations haven’t stopped there. Jafaar brought back an army of soldiers and he’s going to make them force Wonderland to their knees.

This army of his met the one Alice had hastily brought together on the battlefields.

It could have been an equal fight but Alice’s army couldn’t fight against magic. She was taken as a prisoner to, funnily enough the exact place she was head, the palace.

First Jafaar toyed with his father and then Will so it was bound to be Alice’s turn. He’s going to use his magic to change the past. Jafaar swears he can remove all traces of Alice ever loving Cyrus. But he’s willing to spare her this if she gives up Amara.

Alice refuses to help him. Anastasia on the other hand gave up the information like a songbird. Still under the spell, she told Jafaar about the Well of Wonders and he foolishly left her alone with a trapped Alice and Will.

It was foolish because Alice was right all along. What she said about real love always being able to triumph over whatever illusions Jafaar tries to build was true. And all it took was one kiss from Will to get Anastasia back to her old self.

She released them in time for Alice to make it to the Well of Wonders moments after Jafaar did. Alice couldn’t stop him from killing Amara, but she and Cyrus made sure his mother didn’t die in vain. Cyrus was returning the waters from his mother’s corpse when Jafaar intercepted it. He thought , as he was doing it, that he would finally be able to win.

Though Alice happily informed him otherwise.

When Jafaar took the water away from Cyrus he then also accidentally stole it from Nyx. And she has pretty set idea about what to do with thieves – Nyx turned Jafaar into a powerless genie! Let’s see how he likes being forced to bend to other people’s will.

Once that happened, all the magic he did was undone. Including waking Anastasia up.

She’s back to sleeping and Will couldn’t even find it in himself to blame Alice for her actions. He knew Alice made the right choice in choosing to destroy Jafaar however Alice had a surprise for him. She and Cyrus received some of the special waters – this time as a gift! The Lady had told them that Anastasia and Will’s story was far from over.

They woke up Anastasia and she’s going to have a very happy future. Beginning with witnessing Alice’s marriage to Cyrus in London. Where it seems Alice’s father was finally able to accept that there is such a place called Wonderland.
