Phillip Seymour Hoffman,the 46 year old actor that shot to fame for his roles in the early 90s, was sadly found dead early Sunday morning inside of his new York apartment. As of yet the native New Yorker’s cause of death is looking like an accidental overdose. For many this won’t come as a surprise – the actor has suffered from years of drug abuse and it was only recently he left rehab after his latest spiral. But things had begun to look up for the actor.
Phillip had signed on to the Hunger Games franchise in a pivotal role the would have re-introduced him to younger audiences. He had signed on to play Plutarch Heavensbee and unfortunately filming had already started. There were several projects in the works that for now will be placed in limbo.
Known as one of the more serious and characters actors around; he had won awards He was seen during the awards season but I’m afraid he was just unable to make it to the Oscars. Too many inner demons can destroy you if you let them.
