Ray Rice Abuse Elevator Tape Scandal: NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell Under Fire - Pretended The Janay Palmer Footage Didn't Exist!

The drama surrounding Ray Rice and his wife Janay Palmer continues. The Baltimore Ravens have cut Ray Rice and now so has Madden 15. Video game developer EA Sports announced that it plans to remove Ray Rice from the in-game roster after his indefinite length real world suspension. The roster should change by this Friday.

TMZ is now reporting that the NFL never contacted Revel Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City about the elevator tape. The casino made a copy of the video for police and Rice’s lawyer had a copy of the video, which he got in the criminal case. Employees also tell TMZ Sports they would have gladly provided the video if asked for it.

Roger Goodell is now trying to explain why he never asked the casino for the tape. He tells CBS news he knew a tape existed and went to law enforcement and asked for a copy but got rejected. He also takes a jab at TMZ saying, “I don’t know how TMZ or any other website gets their info. We are particularly reliant on law enforcement, that’s the most reliable, the most credible. We don’t seek to get that information from sources who are not credible.”

An NFL source told TMZ Tuesday afternoon … Goodell felt it would be wrong to “go around” law enforcement by contacting the casino and looking at the tape. But we’re told all law enforcement told Goodell is they’re not giving him the tape — not that him looking at the tape would interfere with their investigation. Fact is … it wouldn’t.

Elsewhere, Rice says he has to be strong for his wife. Janay feels like the media ruined her life. No, girl, your man K.O.’ing you and you still marrying him ruined your life!

Janay took to Instagram Tuesday to let us know how she feels and how her life’s been ruined. “I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I’m mourning the death of my closest friend,” Janay Rice wrote. “But to have to accept the fact that it’s reality is a nightmare in itself.

“No one knows the pain that [the] media & unwanted options from the public has caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret every day is a horrible thing. To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass [off] for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific.

“THIS IS OUR LIFE! What don’t you all get. If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you’ve succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow & show the world what real love is! Ravensnation we love you!”
