Two days after the shooting, guards patrol Camp Jaha. Bellamy asks Clarke to explain the layout of Mt Weather. She has a map sketched out and tells him they can get in through the mines. Bellamy says if her mom doesn’t sanction the mission, he’s going in anyway. He asks her how Finn is doing but she says she hasn’t talked to him and doesn’t know what to say. Bellamy reminds her they’re at war and they’ve all done things. Finn comes over and Bellamy leaves. Finn asks if that’s Mt Weather and asks what’s the plan. She says she’s still working on it.

Murphy comes and sits and says it looks like they’ve all been pardoned for their actions since the others have bigger fish to fry. Clarke tells Murphy that doesn’t mean she’s pardoned him. Raven tells Clarke that Mt Weather is jamming them and that’s why they haven’t heard from any other ark stations. Clarke says to show her. Raven shows her the static that Mt Weather is pushing out and they realize Mt Weather crashed the Exodus ship too.

Raven says if she can get to the tower broadcasting it, she can make it go boom. Abby says they are just kids but Clarke tells her about Mt Weather jamming them. Clarke says they can go and that will leave all the soldiers to defend the camp. Abby agrees and says she’s coming along. Byrne doesn’t like it and says Kane isn’t back yet and may be dead. Abby says they need more guards. Clarke says they’re going back to Mt Weather and it’s settled.

At Mt Weather, Tsing tells Dante that Maya’s numbers are improving and she may be metabolizing radiation on her own now. She says Jasper’s blood was eight times more effective than any other blood and his system jump-started her. She asks him to let her move forward with the other 47 kids. Dante says no. Cage agrees with Tsing but Dante says Jasper volunteered so it’s different. Dante says the results are not proven.

Tsing says even if it’s not a proven solution, it could extend their lives. Dante says he won’t put them in cages like animals. Cage asks what if the other kids won’t volunteer to help. Cage says this could mean they could see the outside world again. Dante says if he gives the order to harvest those kids, he won’t deserve to see it again. He walks away and says he’s going to find them some volunteers. Cage tells Tsing he’ll come around. Cage says if he doesn’t, they’ll do it anyway.

Octavia is annoyed they let Finn come along since he’s so dangerous. Abby and Clarke walk together and chat. Abby says Clarke was right about bringing them and Clarke thanks her for clearing Finn. He asks if Finn will be able to clear himself. Kane struggles with his bonds and Jaha tells him to relax and says they would have killed them already. He says their story doesn’t end this way. He says they still have work to do. Jaha says his son told him.

The Grounders come to see them and accuse them of sending an assassin into one of their villages. He says one of them must kill the other today. He throws down a knife and tells a girl to get them when it’s done. They leave the two men with the knife and the witness. The woman says they want justice. Kane says they’ve lost lives on both sides and says that’s why they need to end the war. He throws the knife away. Jaha walks over to her and asks her name.

She says it’s Lexa. Jaha introduces himself and Kane. He says her commander spoke of an assassin and asks what he meant. She says 18 of their people were murdered including elders and children. Kane says they had nothing to do with that and Lexa says that doesn’t matter. She says one of them must pick up the knife – that’s their way. She says if they don’t, the Commander will use it to slit both their throats.

Jasper is leaving the clinic and Dante approaches him and asks to walk with him. He says he’s courageous and says he can now see they’re not entirely safe there. He says trace amounts of radiation sometimes leak in and says the results they got with Maya would mean a huge difference. He asks Jasper to talk to his friends to inspire a difference.

Clarke looks up on the mountain and sees the antenna. She says they can’t go up at night because of the traps. Abby says they’re missing two. Someone calls out to Bellamy and Octavia. Clarke says they went to find a way in. Abby is annoyed and tells her guards to find them and bring them back. Finn says he’s going with them but Raven wants him to stay there. Clarke won’t meet his eyes and Finn asks what they think he’s going to do. He throws down his gun and walks off.

Clarke says she’ll get him. She follows him and he says it was an accident. They hear an explosion, see the gas and Finn says to run. Clarke radios that it’s acid fog and they need to take cover. Bellamy and Octavia are looking for man-made structures that could lead to the mines. Octavia sees bugs running and she points it out to her brother. Then they see the fog and they have to run. Octavia follows the bugs and Bellamy goes after her. She digs out something and says it’s the ruins.

He calls the soldiers over and they pull as the fog gets closer. The head over but one of the guards is caught and goes down in it. Clarke and Finn hide in a store room and she sees the guy that Finn shot in the head. He goes and covers the body up. Abby tries to call Clarke from the tent she’s in with Raven but can’t get her. Raven says as close as they are to the jamming antenna, it’s even affecting short wave signals.

Raven listens to the signal and says it sounds like they’re jamming all frequencies but one. She says she just has to crack the encryption and says they will be able to listen in on Mt Weather. Octavia and Bellamy are in an underground garage. Bellamy says they need to find an access door to Mt Weather. The guy hands them a gun and says to meet back in 15 after looking around. They move out in two tams. Clarke paces and Finn tells her they’re fine since they have tents.

Finn says she’s looking at him like he’s the enemy. She says she’s not but he says she’s looking at him like he’s the enemy. He gives her back her watch that he found. He says he knows how much it means to her. She asks where he got it and he says it was around that guy’s neck and points to the dead guy. She tears up. Next morning, Jasper tries to talk to the other kids about helping out. Harper says no and most of the other kids say no too.

Monty asks what he’s doing and why he’s working for him. He says they need to go after Clarke. Maya comes in and chats with them but holds up a notebook that says – act normal, their listening, the breach wasn’t an accident, follow me. They follow her out. She takes them to a room where she says they can talk freely. She cries and says she’s sorry. Monty says they likely exposed her on purpose to get Jasper to agree to be her blood brother.

She says she didn’t know about it but says the standard treatment sucks compared to his blood. They ask what the standard treatment is and she shows them the room of caged Grounders being used as blood bags. Monty asks why she’s showing them this and Maya says she’s afraid they’re next.

Maya says no one talks about it and they learn not to ask because they’d die without the treatments. She asks what they’re supposed to do and Monty says – die. Monty says if Clarke got out, they can but Maya says security around the mountain has increased. Jasper says for now they should volunteer to keep the others safe. Raven works on breaking the encryption and finally gets it. They hear them talking about the fog and say – when they pop up, hit them again.

Abby says the fog is a weapon and they were attacked. Abby tells her guard to build his bomb and blow the antenna. Raven says if they blow it, they won’t be able to hear the enemy. Abby says without the antenna, they can contact other ark survivors and get the reinforcements they need. The two guards find a musical toy that plays a Christmas Carol. Then they hear a noise and are attacked by Reapers. They scream. Octavia and Bellamy come to check on them.

Bellamy calls for Scott but gets no answer. They creep closer and see the guns are there but the men are gone. The Reapers are eating them. Bellamy sees and shoots them. There’s another there and Octavia tells him it’s Lincoln and to not shoot. Lincoln comes for her and she runs. Bellamy knocks Lincoln out and shoots another. He says they need to get somewhere safe. Jaha says there must be another way to resolve this. Lexa says there’s not.

Jaha tells Kane they can offer a trade. He says the people are primitive and they can offer them medicine and technology. Kane picks up the knife and Jaha asks what he’s doing. Kane says if they don’t make a choice, they’ll both die and the killing won’t end. He stands up with the knife and Jaha stands too. Kane says there’s only one way out of this. He walks closer and hands the knife to Jaha and tells him to kill him.

Kane tells him it’s their only choice but Jaha says no. He says Kane didn’t order the massacre and Kane says not that one. Jaha says their choices on the ark were to have the human race survive. Kane says it was already surviving. Jaha refuses to take the knife. Kane says he won’t let him die for him and slices deeply into his arm. Jaha asks Lexa for help. He gives him a bandage. Jaha says he didn’t come all this way to die. He grabs the girl, puts the knife to her throat and says – I choose to live.

Octavia asks how it’s possible that Bellamy is a Reaper. Lincoln is up and creeping around. Octavia asks if he saw them. Bellamy tells her they’ll get him back. The Commander comes down and Lexa puts down Jaha with some quick moves. She says she heard what she needed to hear. She’s the real commander. She says she’s learned much of them and says their intentions are honorable and desire for peace is true.

She has them freed and says his friend will be used to send a message. Jaha is hauled out while Kane asks her to stop. Lexa says the massacre must be answered and says blood must have blood. Bellamy and Octavia lure Lincoln over to them. He comes around the corner looking blood thirsty. Bellamy hits him with one of the taser rods and he goes down. He says now they can take him home. Finn tells Clarke the fog cleared. She says nothing.

Clarke says – they were unarmed – and tells Finn she doesn’t know who he is anymore. He says – neither do I. She asks him what they’ve become. Monty and the others show up to donate blood. Tsing tells him he won’t feel a thing. Monty says he’s so high he doesn’t care about the six inch spike in his neck. Dante comes in and tells Jasper he’s impressed and grateful. Jasper says more will come and says it’s the least they can do since they saved them.

Dante goes to talk to Tsing and Cage. He tells them they need to have faith in them. Tsing says she hopes they’re all this compliant. Cage says he can’t believe they’re getting what they need because he asked nicely. Dante tells Cage he knows he was behind the radiation link. He denies it. Dante says if he finds out they’re lying, he’s toast. Cage is shocked.

Jasper comes back to the dorms and says he loves this song. He turns it up and sits across from the others. He says they need to recruit some others. Monty says they need to last long enough for Clarke to break them out. Millbrae says she’d better hurry the hell up. Clarke and Finn meet back up with her mom and Raven. She asks about Bellamy and Octavia and Abby says they know to meet them. Abby says they decided to leave the antenna up so they can listen to the enemy.

Abby says they’re going to go in and get the others out. Finn tells Raven he’s sorry. She tells him to suck it up and heal his battle scars. A man calls out for help. The guards run over and find Jaha. He tells them to stand down. He walks over looking pretty gnarly and Abby is in shock that he’s alive. He kneels down and is exhausted, bloody and beat up. He says he has a message from the Commander – leave or die. He says they have two days.
