Jennifer is excited that this is her last treatment, but doesn’t like preparing for a round that will leave her sick for days. She and Bill head off to the hospital and Jen looks forward to entering a hospital as a doctor again, instead of a patient. Once in her bed, Bill holds her hand and sits by her side. Bill shares how difficult it has been having Jennifer’s energy taken from her due to the chemotherapy. Jennifer talks about how the cancer took them for a surprise sharing that one minute she felt a little sick, and the next she was getting chemotherapy.

Bill brought in cupcakes and the kids who had balloons for their mom. Bill has flowers for her as well. She is so happy to see her family. Zoey and Will join her on the bed. They enjoy cake but Jennifer worries about being totally at ease until she is certain she’ll be okay. Bill is happy to not have to sleep without his wife. He tells her how proud he is of her and shares how strong he believes she is. Jennifer tells him how appreciative she is of him being her rock and taking care of her and the kids through the whole ordeal.

The doctor comes in to speak with Jennifer and Bill and tells Jen that she is done with chemo. She states that Jennifer is cancer free but will continue to monitor her for one year. When Jen shares her travel plans, the doctor is concerned for her because she wants her to take it easy. Since the doctor understands that it is important to Jennifer, she relents and is pleased that Bill will be with her. The conference will be part of the trip, but the kids are coming as well and they want to make a little family trip out of it. The doctor wants her to take it easy, but to also be able to return somewhat to her normal activities.

Jennifer gets to have the pleasure of following a tradition of the hospital to “ring the bell” signifying that she is cancer free. She and Bill talk with the doctors and look back at what she has conquered. Jennifer thanks all of the staff and her doctor for everything they’ve done, noting that she could not have gotten through it without them and all their efforts. They tell her how strong she was. The doctor encourages her after they all rejoice her cancer-free status to ring the bell. With Bill, her nurses, and her doctor there to celebrate, Jennifer happily rings the bell.
