Elsewhere, Sophie is shocked when a discovery is made at the cemetery, but she soon realizes things may not be as they seem. With the full moon looming, Hayley lets Rebekah in on her plan to throw a party for her werewolf clan, but things take a dangerous turn when uninvited guests arrive. Monique wakes to the sound of a heartbeat. She sees that she’s trapped. She calls out for help.  At the church, Father Kieran announces the reopening of St Anne’s. Marcel and Klaus sit in the packed pews. Cammie is there too. Klaus tells Marcel to pay attention to blend in with the devoted parishioners. A red headed woman stands at the back of the vestibule.

There’s a tour of the cemetery and they stop at the Devereaux tomb where they hear someone crying out. The bricks tumble loose and out falls Monique. Celeste welcomes her back to the land of the living. Sophie comes running up and sees the loose bricks then goes to find her neice. Celeste tells her it’s a miracle. Sophie is stunned that her neice is alive. She hugs her. Monique seems off though.

Klaus tells Kieran he enjoyed the sermon and asks about Papa Tunde. Kieran says he’s heard nothing and Marcel says he has a ton of power in him. Kieran says he doesn’t want to get involved. Cammie congratulates them on the church and then hustles off.

Diego calls Klaus to says he’s found a very dead Papa Tunde in one of those weird witchy signs. Bastiana stops by to shake Kieran’s hand and marks him with an x. She tells him to give his nephew regards when he sees him in hell. Kieran stares horrified at the x.

Elijah looks at Tunde’s body and Marcel says it’s an omen from the witches. Klaus wonders why he’s dead when he was supposed to be the witch’s prize figher. Rebekah tells them that Monique exploded out of her grave. Marcel says this will give the witches hope. Hayley comes in and says that she thinks Celeste is back (they don’t know that Sabine is really Celeste). Klaus says the witches are declaring war on the vampires.

Rebekah pours a Scotch and Elijah tells her that Hayley isn’t safe there. He asks her to take Hayley to the plantation house to keep her safe. Rebekah says he should let Hayley decide and asks why he’s making decisions for her. Elijah says he can’t take her there because he doesn’t have his emotions under control when it comes to Hayley. Rebekah says Hayley will resent being told what to do but will take her to end the quarrel she and and Hayley are having.

Marcel pins Rebekah to the wall and says he thinks he saw Genevive – a formerly dead witch – that he thinks has been resurrected. He says if she is back, she could reveal a lot of secrets that the two of them don’t want out. She tells him to end Genevive like they did last time.

Genevive is in Cammie’s bar and orders tea. Kieran comes in and Cammie tells him to get lost – she’s not happy about him chatting up Klaus. He tells her that he has to try and keep the peace. He asks for a drink and says he has to tell her something. She does and he takes it with a shaky hand. She asks what’s wrong and he says he’s in trouble. He says what happened to her brother Sean is about to happen to him too.

Kieran shows her the x on his hand and says he’s been hexed and doesn’t know how long he has. Cammie says she knows someone who can help him. He says when it gets bad, she needs to be far away from him. Genevive comes down the bar and tells him to save his life all she has to do is put “this “ in Klaus’ heart and she reveals the bone knife that’s infused with all the power Tunde collected and then sacrificed himself to supercharge.

Rebekah and Hayley arrive at the plantation house. Rebekah is surprised she came willingly. Hayley admits that she wants to invite a few people over to enjoy the new moon. She wants to have her clansmen over because they are only human during the full moon. A delivery guy comes out of the house – he brought the keg – and Rebekah isn’t pleased she set up the party without permission. Hayley asks her to be cool and help her throw a hella good party.

Celeste walks the Quarter and sees Elijah. He tells her the family needs an ally among the witches (he still doesn’t know she’s his dead departed lover) and she says there will be no peace as long as Klaus is in the city. He asks her to take a walk with him – to take him on one of her ghost tours.

Monique asks Sophie what happened to her Mom and she says that she thought she could bring her back after the sacrifice but instead she lost her life. Sophie admits she lost her faith but has since recovered it. Marcel is there and tells him he has nerve showing up since he killed her mother. He tells them he wants the three other sacrificed witches back. Sophie says he just wants Davina’s power back but Monique believes that he’s really there to help and truly wants Davina back for affectionate reasons.

Klaus meets Cammie and she tells him her worries about Kieran’s fate and that it will be the same as her brother’s. Klaus tells her he knows why she hates him and says he has done bad things. He says that the lies Kieran told her were to protect her and that Kieran has a good heart. He tells her their attack on Kieran proves they are the enemy. She pulls out the bone knife and holds it out to him. She hands it over to him and he recognizes it as Tunde’s. She tells him the witch said she would cure Kieran if she put it in his heart and said it would torment even in an Original.

She says she didn’t do it because she’s not a monster and wants to be on the winning side if there’s going to be a war (she obvi thinks the vamps will win it) and Klaus agrees to help save her uncle Kieran.

At the plantation house, Hayley hangs out clothes on the line. A wolf shows up and Hayley smiles at it and says “hello again.” She tells the animal she’s looking forward to meeting it. The moon is nearly full!

Klaus drains some of his blood into a chalice but Kieran is offended that he’s using the commune cup to donate blood to try and heal him. Kieran slices his hand – he has to get the vervain out so Klaus can compel him not to go crazy. Wolves turn human and begin plucking clothes from the line that Hayley left out for them. One hot guy walks in and Rebekah is impressed. She tells him she was expecting someone furrier. He asks if she’s an Original and she says he should say it with more respect. He asks her name and she smiles and tells him. She calls up for Hayley to tell her the party is starting.

Sophie tells Marcel she has enough power to do a locator spell. She says if she betrays the witches she’ll be killed. He says he’ll protect her and she says he can’t. She says she’s not going to put Monique in the middle of the war. She wants money to send her niece out of town and he agrees if she can locate the witches he seeks.

The party is in full swing and the hot wolf is clothed and drags Rebekah out to dance. She tells him her mind is distracted but he tells her she needs to let loose and celebrate. He tell her he’s going to dance her ass off and she loosens up and boogies with him. Hayley is serving up beer and watches the two dance. She heads into the house to do some picking up. Another wolf comes in and tells her his name is Jackson. She asks if he’s the one who’s been watching her. He tells her she’s precious cargo and she says she knows about the miracle baby. He says it’s more than that and he’s interested in her. He says their parents knew each other and explains that the two of them were supposed to be a mated pair. She’s shocked.

Celeste and Elijah walk and she tells him about buildings destroyed in the fire in the 1700s. He tells her that he’s not sure he’s ready to betray Klaus and then calls her Celeste. She asks how he knew and he says he realized it could be possible that she cheated death back in the day. He says she tricked him into killing the last elder and says she’s been playing a very long game and he wants to know why. Celeste steps closer and kisses him. He returns her kiss. She tells him that he’s her lost love. She says after all this time he should understand. She says she died because of Klaus and yet he stood by his brother. He realizes she’s done something to him and she says it’s a simple enchantment. He staggers and then collapses down to the ground.

Klaus tells Kieran to drink his blood to heal his wound. He looks into Kieran’s eyes and compels him to resist the hex. Cammie asks if it works and Kieran isn’t sure of anything except that his vervain is gone and he’s at the mercy of killer Klaus. He curses at Cammie and Klaus realizes the compelling isn’t the answer. He heads out to find Bastiana and stop her.

Marcel is pushing Sophie to work the spell and it finally starts working. Klaus comes in and says he doesn’t need the locator spell when he has the leverage he needs and snatches up Monique.

Elijah is horrified that Celeste poisoned him with a kiss. She says she’s going to cure him of his obsession with his family. She says she’s going to cause pain and torment to Klaus like he’s never seen. Then she threatens Rebekah and then Hayley. She says he will recover his strength just in time to save one of the three and can’t wait to find out which one he’ll choose. She walks away.

Klaus drags Monique down the street of the Quarter and calls out to the witches. He says he will send her back to the death from which she just rose unless they hand over Bastiana. Marcel tries to stop him and Klaus holds out the bone knife ti her throat. Marcel attacks him, they struggle and Klaus snaps his neck. Sophie shows up, grabs up the knife and plunges it into Klaus’ chest. His body absorbs the entire knife and he screams in pain, falls to his knees and then collapses. Bastiana appears and says she’ll take it from there.

[9:34:28 PM] Rachel Rowan: Jackson sits at the piano and plays for Hayley. He tells her he knows it’s a lot to take in and she says she just wanted to meet her family, not a husband from a weird-ass arranged marriage. He says the crescents aren’t just any pack but the bloodline goes back to the beginning. There are two families – his and hers – and he says they are basically wolf royalty.

She asks where the throne is and he says they used to run New Orleans but because of in-fighting they were factioned and that made it easy for the vampires to take it over. He said their marriage was to reunite the packs. He tells her she’s the last of her bloodline and calls her Andrea. He says the wolf pack will follow her if she will lead. He says that Marcel cursed them but she can help by breaking it. She asks what he’s talking about and he says that her witch friend said that she was coming to set them free. She asks what witch friend. The wolf guy is kissing Rebekah then stops and tells her he’s sorry but it’s the deal they made. She asks with who but then is surrounded by wolves.

In the graveyard, Celeste, Bastiana and Genevive light candles in the graveyard. Elijah wakes to his cell phone buzzing – it’s a call from Hayley. He tells her they are all in danger from Celeste. She tells Jackson it’s a trap and that she never made a deal with a witch. The plantation house doors seal shut and a fire starts as the witches chant. Jackson tries to break the window but it’s sealed by magic as well. The walls erupt in flames. They’re trapped. Then a window breaks and Elijah is there to save her. He pulls her out and asks where Rebekah is. She says that his sister went off with a wolf and asks him to save Jackson. Elijah grabs him up and drags him out.

Rebekah comes to in a barn and asks for help. Genevive is there and tells Rebekah that it’s been such a long time and that she’s really going to enjoy this…

Elijah searches for Rebekah when Celeste shows up. She tells him she’s the only one that can break the curse on Hayley’s family. She says that Genevive is the only one that knows where Rebekah is and that Bastiana has Klaus tucked away and is making him suffer. He walks toward her and she says he can’t hurt her. She puts her hand out and knocks him down again. She tells him it’s a horrific ending to his diseased family. She says always isn’t forever after all.

Jackson watches the fire burn and then tells Hayley he has to go. She thanks him for protecting her and he says he’s been dreaming about meeting her since they were kids. She promises him she’ll find a way to break the curse. He leaves.

Cammie calls Klaus and asks where he is. She’s with Kieran. Bastiana is there and says that he’s indisposed. She tells Cammie that because she didn’t hold up the bargain, Kieran will die. She says that his punishment will atone and purify him. She says that opposing them is opposing the natural order. She says the witches of the Quarter will rise again. Kieran is looking rough.

Diego gives Marcel an update and says he can’t find Klaus. Elijah comes in and demands to know where Klaus is. Elijah kicks some butts and then tells Marcel that the witches have Klaus and Rebekah. He demands that the vamps help him and says he’s going to kill all the witches.

Sophie tries to drag Monique out of town but her niece doesn’t want to go. Sophie tells her she can still have a normal life without all the witchcraft nonsense. Monique tells her that she is a witch and doesn’t want to go. She causes Sophie pain and says the ancestors told her she was weak. She says she knows she tried to stop the harvest. Monique tells her they will rip the city apart and destroy anyone without faith. Sophie has blood running out her eyes and nose and begs Monique to stop. She collapses and Monique walk away to join the other three witches – Bastiana, Genevive and Celeste.

The End!
