I guess Trace Adkins tumbling off the wagon after being sober for nearly 12 years really wrecked havoc on his personal life. It is now being reported that he and his wife of nearly 17 years, Rhonda officially separated on Monday and that she then filed for divorce on Tuesday morning. Documents were filed in Williamson County, Tennessee according to TMZ.
Last January Trace got into a drunken brawl with a Trace Adkins impersonator and it ended up being the kind of incident that causes a person to immediately seek help. He went off to rehab and completed some sort of program but the end result on the homefront obviously hasn’t been so great. Do you think that Trace was as clean and sober as everyone had thought or perhaps do you think that those bad habits had really flared up long before January? Could his tumble off the wagon be what ultimately unraveled his marriage?
Rhonda certainly isn’t playing any games either. She is looking for full custody of their three kids, child support, alimony and to be named sole beneficiary of Traces’ life insurance policy!
