B.B. King’s Daughters Allege Father Was Poisoned and Murdered by Business Manager and Aide

Two of B.B. King’s daughters allege that he was poisoned and murdered by his closest and most trusted aides just days before he passed away on May 14, at the age of 89.

Kings daughters, Karen Williams and Patty King, allege in the documents, which were provided to the Associated Press by their lawyers, that the legendary blues singer was murdered by those two of his must trusted colleagues – his business manager and personal assistant.

Karen and Patty are two of 11 surviving and adoptive children, and in the documents are pointing the finger at B.B. King’s business manager LaVerne Toney and his personal assistant Myron Johnson. King’s daughters believe that these two poised their father and ultimately caused the death of the late legendary blues singer.

LaVerne Toney is the executor of B.B. King’s estate, and he has been accused before of stealing and distributing money inappropriately from King’s estate.

According to B.B. King’s lawyer Brent Bryson, King passed away peacefully at the age of 89 in the comfort of his own home. Bryson reached out to the Associated Press regarding Karen and Patty’s allegations and said that they were “ridiculous.”

He said, “I hope they have a factual basis that they can demonstrate for their defamatory and libelous allegations.” He goes onto say how much this dispute would upset King. “This is extremely disrespectful to B.B. King. He did not want invasive medical procedures. He made the decision to return home from hospice care instead of staying in a hospital. These unfounded allegations have caused Mr. King to undergo an autopsy, which is exactly what he didn’t want.”

According to the AP, these allegations of sparked the Las Vegas Police Department to get their homicide detectives on the case and investigate these claims.

John Fudenberg, the Local Clark Country Coroner, told the AP on May 25 that an autopsy was conducted on Sunday, May 24, and that the results would take up to eight weeks.

Unless Karen and Patty can back up these claims, we have to agree that these allegations are completely and utterly ridiculous. It will be interesting to see what evidence King’s daughters will use against Toney and Johnson.
