Bobbi Kristina Brown 'Progressing' and 'Getting Better' Says Bobby Brown's Family, NOT Bobbi's Doctors

Many are wondering if Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, will pull through after being found face-down in a tubful of water at her Georgia home. While some news outlets are reporting that things look bleak, many of Bobbi Kristina’s family members are optimistic about the potential for her recovery, but note that doctors are NOT. According to ET, Tina Brown and Shayne Brown, sister and nephew of Bobby Brown, say that she’s “progressing” and “getting better.” Both the Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston families are requesting prayers and privacy during this difficult time.

Bobbi Kristina has shown a few positive signs since being transferred to the neurological unit at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. She’s currently on life support and in a medically-induced coma, but the Browns say that everyone is still in good spirits. In fact, the Browns were in good enough spirits to throw a birthday bash for Bobby Brown at a nearby hotel. 11Alive in Atlanta reports that things got a little out of hand at the party on Friday. Tina Brown and her son Shayne Brown, the same relatives that gave ET the interview, got involved in a verbal dispute that turned physical. Tina reportedly hit Shayne in the head with a glass bottle over a valet parking ticket. Shayne drove himself to a nearby hospital where he was treated for lacerations on his forehead, but he declined to press charges.

The 911 caller indicated that eight to 10 people were somehow involved in the Brown family feud. That doesn’t sound like much of a birthday celebration. Then again, some might question why they were even celebrating at all. It looks like they would want to stay focused on supporting Bobbi Kristina and her recovery rather than boozing it up and breaking bottles. However, Shayne Brown claims that “the situation was blown out of proportion.” Perhaps emotions are running high and the fight was just the Brown family’s way of letting off a little steam. Whatever the case, Tina Brown states that they all believe Bobbi Kristina will make a full recovery. Time will tell if that hope becomes a reality.

Meanwhile Bobby Brown’s lawyer, Christopher Brown, threatened the media with action over what he termed ‘false reporting.’

“The false reports that continue to appear in print and on the internet are egregious, false and will be dealt with at an appropriate time. In particular, the false reporting of TMZ, The National Enquirer, The Atlanta Journal Constitution and the Daily Mail (UK) citing, police sources, family sources and Bobby Brown himself, will receive my attention,” said Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC, legal counsel for Bobby Brown. “The desire to be ‘first’ has clouded the judgment of many reporters as they forgo accuracy. This is a criminal investigation and the integrity of that process requires silence.”
