After calling 911, they performed CPR until an ambulance arrived. She was taken to North Fulton hospital and placed in the ICU where she is reportedly on a ventilator.
It seems likely that drugs factored in to Bobbi’s incident. The police issued a search warrant and combed through her home to try to put the pieces together. While we don’t know what type of drugs may have been in her system, the resemblance to her mother’s accidental overdose is striking. Both women were found lifeless in their bathtubs just days before the Grammy Awards ceremony. Whitney’s death occurred on February 11, 2012, and the anniversary of her passing was undoubtedly on Bobbi’s mind. Was the grief too much for her to bear? The circumstances surrounding this episode seem far too close for comfort. Bobbi may have made a suicide attempt as she tried to escape her troubled life and rest in peace like Whitney Houston.
According to Radar Online, the police didn’t find any prescription drugs on the scene and doctors are treating this as a medical incident for now. Still, there is plenty of information to consider. It’s worth noting that police were called to Bobbi’s home to investigate a fight last week, but no one was home when they arrived.
While it’s too soon to say if Bobbi will meet the same fate as her mother, it’s certainly a serious situation. If she was deprived of oxygen for too long, her brain may be extensively damaged.
