Bobbi Kristina Brown has been on life-support and unresponsive since January 31st after she was found face down in her bath tub in a tragic drowning accident eerily similar to that of her late mother Whitney Houston. Bobbi Kristina’s father Bobby Brown and Cissy and Pat Houston gathered around Bobbi’s bedside at Emory University Hospital – patiently waiting for the 22 year old to wake up. However, after weeks of waiting the doctors informed Bobbi Kristina’s family that her status had not improved, and the odds of her waking up were slim to none.
Since Bobbi Kristina’s doctors delivered the grim news to her family regarding her waking up – Cissy Houston and Pat Houston have come to terms with the fact that Bobbi is basically gone, and have been pressuring Bobby Brown to take his daughter off from life-support. At this stage the Houstons feel that there is really no need to keep dragging out the inevitable and racking up more medical bills. Instead, Bobby Brown opted to have Bobbi Kristina transferred out of the hospital and to DeKalb Medical, a long term facility nearby that is dedicated to patients in situations similar to Bobbi’s.
Why do Cissy Houston and Pat Houston care so much about the medical bills that are piling up? Well, it is technically coming out of their money – and they are not happy about it. When Whitney Houston passed away she left a $20 Million inheritance to her daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, if anything ever happened to Bobbi – the money and property is legally willed to Cissy Houston and her sons, with Pat Houston as the executor. However, before Cissy and Pat can cash in on the $20 Million, the medical bills that Bobbi Kristina has incurred will be deducted from the inheritance first.
Bobby Brown has been visiting Bobbi Kristina religiously at DeKalb, and is certain his daughter will miraculously wake up, and the Houston Family is furious! In their eyes Bobby knows the odds of his daughter waking up is slim to none, but he is willing to wait it out and see if a miracle happens – but it is not his money that is being spent to keep her “alive.” Do you think that the Houston Family is being greedy, or at this point are they just being logical?
