Derek Hough is reportedly injured and in hospital, prompting questions about whether he’ll be able to return to Dancing with the Stars. The news of his injury went public after Monday night’s Spring Break episode of Dancing with the Stars.
According to Derek’s [and Mark Ballas’] Instagram, Derek was injured and had to spend the night in the ER. We know this because Mark captioned his Instagram photo with, “Long night in the ER with @derekhough nothing worse than seeing a fellow dancer get hurt especially your brother. But he had me @bcjean and @corkyballas there by his side. #fam.”
And if that didn’t do the trick, then seeing Derek Hough in a wheelchair would have done it. Plus, Derek also uploaded a picture [that he deleted almost immediately after] showing injuries possibly sustained to both feet, captioning it, “Just getting home from the hospital. Not the best of news. I’m in utter disbelief.”
That seems like more than a simple foot injury, no? If Derek’s being so vocal about the negative news and how he’s in ‘utter disbelief’, it makes sense if the injury is more serious than just a bruise or a sprain. In fact, ET has already reached out to Derek Hough’s reps to see if he’ll be able to make it back on Dancing with the Stars for the rest of his season, or whether he’ll have to take time off because of his foot injuries.
