Check out these “General Hospital” spoilers for the Friday September 4 episode for the answers you need. Everyone’s getting ready for the wedding, but where is the groom? Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) isn’t getting ready to walk down the aisle – he’s walked into an ambush. The new mob rival is in town and kidnapped TJ Ashford (Tequan Richmond) to lure Sonny out of his compound. Sonny shows up as demanded and drops a major threat on the guy he assumes to be Julian Jerome’s (William deVry) henchman.
Will today be the day that Sonny comes face to face with the nemesis who’s been operating in the shadows? Sonny won’t make it to the wedding and will be shot which puts a snag in the wedding plans and sends him to General Hospital for emergency surgery. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is oblivious as she continues to get ready for the ceremony with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).
Maxie helps Carly get ready and notices the flowers. Carly admits that Jake Doe (Billy Miller) stopped by but tells her not to mention the visit or the flowers to her groom. Carly says Sonny can be unreasonable about her friendship with Jake. Maxie doesn’t care for Jake either but promises to keep quiet about it.
Carly will get some sweet gifts from the ladies in her life including mom Bobbie Spencer (Jaclyn Zeman), cousin Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) and cousin Valerie Spencer (Brytni Sarpi). She’s touched and they all hang out happily. The guys – Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) and Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) wonder what’s keeping their dad.
Everyone gathers for the wedding and Lulu has some nice moments with cousin Valerie. Lulu feels like she and Valerie can finally get along and that trouble is past them. It’s not. Dante is still feeling guilty and there’s a good chance that Valerie is cooking a little Dante bun in her oven. Plus Val is still harboring unrequited love for Lulu’s husband. This won’t end well.
In non-wedding news, Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) demands that Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) hand ELQ back to Michael immediately or face prison for rigging the mayoral election.
Kyle Sloane (Robb Derringer) is there to back up the accusations. How will Nikolas talk his way out of this one? We know Nik won’t give back the company.
Plus Sam and Jake’s leverage will soon be gone once Sloane turns up dead. Best of all, Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) has a ringside seat to just how manipulative and treacherous Nikolas can be. Rather than turning her off, Hayden is starting to recall what she saw in him before. She loves her some bad boy action – they’ll get steamy again soon.
Julian wants to talk to Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero). Does Julian suspect that Olivia had more to tell him about baby Leo or does he just want to reassure her that him being arrested was all a misunderstanding and says he’s really clear of the mob. The conversation will leave Olivia with things to consider with regard to their baby.
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is back with a vengeance and wants Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) to help her take out Mayor Lomax. Will Jordan be on board with this? She’s certainly not happy that Lomax and rat fink Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) seem to be BFFs and are making bad decisions that affect her department without consulting her. Looks like Jordan will help.
